Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a headlight control, and more particularly, to a headlight control device and method that can change the irradiation direction of the headlight when left or right turn.
In general, the headlights installed on both sides of the front of the vehicle brightly illuminate the front of the vehicle so that the driver secures a forward watch when driving at night.
By the way, the conventional vehicle headlight is completely fixed to the front of the vehicle, so that only the front of the vehicle is illuminated. Therefore, when the vehicle travels on a curved road rather than a straight road, the traveling direction of the car and the irradiation direction of the headlight do not coincide, and thus the road surface to be driven cannot be reliably illuminated.
In order to solve this problem, there has been proposed a headlight that changes the direction of irradiation of the headlight in connection with the rotation of the heel or by using GPS information. However, the former heel linkage method was disadvantageous at the starting point of the curve road before the heel was rotated, and the latter method of using the GPS information could not be used in a vehicle without navigation, and in case of navigation or malfunction of the GPS satellite. There was a problem that could cause serious problems.
In order to solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a headlight control apparatus and method that can reduce the risk factor by illuminating the surrounding road surface when left turn or right turn.
Headlight control apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention, the switch capable of indicating the direction of rotation of the vehicle; And a control unit that changes the irradiation directions of the right headlight and the left headlight, respectively, according to the switch operation.
According to another aspect of the present invention, a headlight control method includes: checking whether at least one of a direction indicator light, a headlight irradiation direction button, and a handle is operated; Identifying a direction of the vehicle to be changed by the manipulation; And changing the irradiation direction of the left headlight to the left when the direction of the vehicle to be changed is to the left, and changing the irradiation direction of the right headlight to the right when the right.
According to the present invention, the direction of the headlights is changed only when the handle is manipulated to evolve from a conventional headlight which cannot change the direction of the headlight at the beginning of the curve road, and thus the headlight at the beginning of the curve road with a high accident rate. Since the direction of investigation can be changed, the risk of accident can be greatly reduced.
In addition, the present invention can more accurately grasp the road situation to be changed even when changing lanes, and it is possible to easily determine that the surrounding cars are attempting to change lanes through the headlight irradiation direction, thereby reducing the risk of accidents. .
Hereinafter, a headlight control apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 1. 1 is a block diagram showing a headlight control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.

As described above, the present invention evolves from the conventional headlights in which the direction of the headlights is changed only when the handle is manipulated, and thus the headlights cannot be changed at the beginning of the curve road. The direction of light irradiation can be changed to reduce the risk of an accident.
In addition, the present invention can more accurately grasp the road situation to change lanes even when changing lanes, it is easy to determine that the surrounding cars are trying to change lanes through the direction of the headlight to reduce the risk of accidents Can be.
While the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, Of course, this is possible. Accordingly, the scope of protection of the present invention should not be limited to the above-described embodiments, but should be determined by the description of the following claims.

2 is a view showing a change in the irradiation direction of the headlights when the right turn by the headlight control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
3 is a flowchart illustrating a headlight control method according to an embodiment of the present invention.
