Abstract

PURPOSE: A tread rubber bonding method in the tire manufacturing process is provided to prevent a tire thickness from getting thin in a tire transporting or queuing process due to a glissement of junction parts. CONSTITUTION: The tread rubber bonding method includes following steps. A tread rubber(2) is tied and installed to a drum(1). Inclined surfaces(3,4) are formed in both ends of the tread rubber and one inclined surface lies one upon another. Concavo-convex part is formed to each corresponding inclined surface. Each inclined surface is bonded to be interlocked with each other by the concavo-convex part. The concavo-convex part includes a protrusion and a concave part. The protrusion is formed in one side of the incline surface of the concavo-convex part. The concave part is formed in the other side of the incline surface of the concavo-convex part.

트레드고무를 드럼에 설치함에 있어서는 판상의 트레드고무를 드럼에 감싸 듯 말아 트레드 양단을 붙여 설치하게 되는데, 트레드 고무 양단을 잇대어 설치하는 방법으로는, 첨부된 도면 도1의 (가)에 도시된 바와 같이, 트레드 고무 양단을 맞대어 결합 설치하는 버트 조인트(Butt joint) 방법, 첨부된 도면 도1의 (나)(다)에 도시된 바와 같이 트레드 고무 양단이 겹쳐지게 하여 계면의 넓이가 넓게 설치하는 오버 레이(Over lay) 조인트 방법이 있으며, 오버레이 조인트 방법에 있어서도, 겹쳐지는 양측 부위가 경사면으로 된 오버레이 조인트 방법(나)과 겹쳐지는 양측 부위가 계단형으로 된 오버레이 조인트 방법(다)이 있다. 위와 같은 조인트 방법 중 실제로 타이어를 제조함에 있어서는 겹침 부위에 있어서의 계면 면적을 확대시키고자 하는 오버레이 조인트 방법이 흔히 사용되고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 오버레이 조인트 방법으로 트레드 양단을 결착시킨다 하더라도 차기 공정인 가황 공정 수행을 위하여 그린타이어를 운반하고 기다리는 과정에서 접합된 트레드 양단이 서로 미끄러져 이격되는 현상이 발생할 수 있고 이러한 미끄러짐이 발생하게되면 접합 부위의 두께가 얇아져 타이어의 유니포미티(Uniformity)를 훼손하게되는 중대한 결점이 있다. In the installation of the tread rubber on the drum, the tread rubber is rolled up as if wrapped around the drum, and both ends of the tread are attached to each other.
