Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method of cleaning a tire mold. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of preparing a series of cleaning rubbers, adding them to the green tire surface, and then cleaning the molds by chemicals in the cleaning rubbers adsorbing contaminants to the cleaning rubber surface during the vulcanization reaction.
Conventionally, as a tire mold cleaning method, the main method has been to remove contaminants by applying a certain pressure to a material such as sand, ceramics, etc., to blow the mold. However, this method has been pointed out as a big factor that mold damage occurs to shorten the mold life and inhibit the appearance of the tire. In addition, productivity was lost in the process of disassembling and assembling the mold separately for cleaning purposes.
However, it is superior to other methods in terms of cleaning effect, and it is still one of the most widely used methods in most tire manufacturers. Recently, a method using a laser (Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2004-167744), etc. has been developed and widely commercialized to compensate for these disadvantages. However, the method using the laser has the disadvantage that the investment cost is high, the cleaning time is very long, and the cleaning effect is improved only by adjusting the angle of the laser well.
Alternatively, a method of using ultrasonic waves by dipping a mold in water (US Patent No. 3,990,906), Plasma (JP-A-1995-052480) or Corona (JP-A-1994-046377) Although most of the molds are cleaned by moving the mold into a separate large chamber, they are not practical and are not used by actual tire manufacturers.
In addition, recently, a method of cleaning using dry ice (CO 2 , US Patent No. 6,368,417, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-210954) has been used a lot. Although it has the advantage of being clean, it is pointed out that the cost of using CO 2 raw material is expensive and economically expensive. Although a method of immersing in water containing other cleaning agents (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 1994-246750) and the like have been published, the cleaning effect is poor, and thus it is not actually used.
Therefore, the present invention has been developed as an alternative to the above problems and the manufacturing of a series of cleaning rubber and adding it to the surface of the green tire and the chemicals in the cleaning rubber during the vulcanization reaction adsorbs the contaminants to the cleaning rubber surface to clean the mold. It is to provide a cleaning method to be made.
The cleaning method of the tire mold for achieving the object of the present invention, by adding the cleaning rubber to the surface of the green tire and together with the chemicals in the cleaning rubber to adsorb contaminants in the mold to the surface of the cleaning rubber during the vulcanization reaction. Characterized in that made.
The tire mold cleaning method of the present invention is advantageous in terms of productivity since there is no mold damage and separate work of disassembling and assembling the mold is unnecessary, and it has an economical effect compared to laser or CO 2 cleaning methods.
When described in more detail based on the accompanying drawings of the present invention as follows.
The tire mold cleaning method of the present invention is a method of manufacturing a series of cleaning rubber and adding it to the surface of the green tire, and during the vulcanization reaction, the chemicals in the cleaning rubber adsorb contaminants to the cleaning rubber surface to perform mold cleaning. Green tires are more economical by utilizing the waste green tires generated during the tire manufacturing process, and the entire surface such as the tread, the sidewall and the bead part is wrapped with cleaning rubber in the molding machine.
본 발명에 따른 청소용 고무의 기본 조성물은 폴리머로서 그 종류를 특히 한정하는 것은 아니지만, NBR(Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), EPDM(Ethylene Propylene Diene terpolymer) 고무 등을 사용하는 것이 바람직하다.The basic composition of the cleaning rubber according to the present invention is not particularly limited as the polymer, but it is preferable to use NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene terpolymer) rubber, or the like.
In particular, the addition of a small amount of silica and carbon black filler to the polymer is necessary to maintain the constant strength, the type or content of the filler does not correspond to the main factor. About 1% by weight of sulfur and peroxide based on the total weight of the cleaning rubber is added to the vulcanizing system so that the cleaning rubber is vulcanized simultaneously with the tire. The reason for adding a small amount of carbon black is that the minimum green strength may occur because there is no proper strength necessary for sheeting, coating on the surface of the green tire, or breakage, shrinkage or crushing may occur when there is no filler. It is added to maintain the greenstrength, and the reason why it is not so much is to include only the weight fraction that is suitable for the purpose of cleaning because it does not require special strength besides processability.
In addition, an amine compound including triethanolamine may be used as the washing liquid. This amine compound has a function of dissolving contaminants such as zinc mixture and preservative in the mold during the vulcanization reaction and adsorbing to the cleaning rubber. The content of these is in the range of about 5-10% by weight is appropriate, but the cleaning effect is less than that below, and the composition range is most suitable because there is no significant meaning in terms of the above.
The cleaning rubber applied to the method of the present invention is prepared by blending the composition, and they are applied in the form of wrapping the surface of the green tire after thinly sheeting to a thickness of about 1 mm.
According to the present invention, when the green tire is introduced into the vulcanizer in the usual vulcanization order and vulcanized with the tire vulcanization temperature and time, contaminants present on the surface of the mold stick to the cleaning rubber. The higher the vulcanization temperature, the shorter the vulcanization time required for cleaning. For example, if the car is 178 degrees, the cleaning time required for cleaning is 10 minutes, and if it is 150 degrees like a truck bus, it takes about 50 minutes.
In the above, the thickness of the cleaning rubber is preferably about 1 mm thick, but if it is thicker than that, residues remain on the surface of the mold after cleaning, and the additional cost increases. The cleaning effect is partially different because the rubber does not flow sufficiently.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples. However, the present invention is not limited to the following examples.
Example
For cleaning rubber, NBR is used, and 7 wt% of 3-aminopropyl compound, 0.75 wt% of sulfur, 1 wt% of peroxide, and 10 wt% of silica are mixed. It was made.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, half of the raw tire surface of the passenger car was wrapped and then vulcanized for 10 minutes at 178 degrees. In FIG. 1,
As shown in FIG. 3, the half of the mold using the cleaning rubber was cleaned, and the contaminants were adsorbed onto the cleaning rubber even on the finished tire.
When applying the present invention there is no damage to the mold compared to the existing method, the separate disassembly, assembly work of the mold is unnecessary, the cleaning time is very short. However, it includes cleaning rubber raw materials, manufacturing costs, and raw tire costs, but compared to other methods (for example, glass beads, laser, and CO 2 methods), it was very advantageous in terms of economics as shown in Table 1 below.
