Abstract

PURPOSE: An elevator using an infrared sensor is provided to reduce unnecessary time using infrared sensors in an elevator by automatically cancel stopping of the elevator when there is nobody on a floor even if a hold button is on. CONSTITUTION: An elevator using an infrared sensor(1) comprises an infrared sensor(11) and a central control part. The infrared sensor decides whether man locates in front of the elevator. The central control part possessively controls the operation of elevator by recognizing a sensing result of the infrared sensor. The infrared sensor is installed on upper of an elevator door. If a user pushes an elevator button, the central control part recognizes the button pushing action and operates the infrared sensor.
