Abstract

A composition of hair styling agent containing matitol and dipropylene glycol is provided to enhance coherence between the styling agent and hair and improve the persistence of the agent. A composition of hair styling agent comprises 0.1-20 weight% of setting agent, 0.1-20 weight% of maltitol, 0.1-20 weight% of dipropylene glycol as an active ingredient. The maltitol is denoted by the chemical formula 1 and dipropylene glycol is denoted by the chemical formula 2. The setting agent is polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylpyrrolidone/vinylacetate copolymer, vinylprrolidone/methacrylamide/vinylimidazole copolymer, polyvinylalcohol, polyethylene glycol, and poly quarternium. The composition comprises water or ethanol.

Description

Hair setting agent composition with improved durability

The present invention relates to a hair dressing composition, and more particularly, to a hair dressing composition containing maltitol and dipropylene glycol together with a setting agent in order to improve binding and sustainability between hairs.

Conventional hair dressing agents are mostly cosmetics for forming a fixing force on the hair using a polymer material, for example, hairspray, mousse, gel and wax. As the polymer material, setting agents such as pyrrolidone, acrylic acid, and acrylate may be used alone or in the form of a copolymer thereof, and these polymer materials are attached to the hair through film formation after evaporation of the solvent during initial use. The film builds a hold on the hair to create the desired style. Such a setting agent loses its inherent film characteristics at high temperature and high humidity, and shows a disadvantage in that the fixing force in the hair decreases over time. As a solution to this problem, an attempt was made to solve the problem of lowering the fixing force through copolymerization with monomers having excellent moisture resistance in the polymer materials. A representative setting agent having excellent moisture resistance obtained through this study is a polypyrrolidone / vinylacetate copolymer, and a commercial product is Luviskol VA64 manufactured by BASF. However, the above copolymers do not show satisfactory performance.

Accordingly, the present inventors have tried to develop a hair dressing composition that improves the binding strength and persistence between hair, and found that by using maltitol and dipropylene glycol together with the setting agent, the binding strength between the hair can be enhanced and the sustainability of the setting agent can be improved. This invention was completed.

Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a hair dressing composition which enhances the binding force between hairs and improves the persistence of the setting agent.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a hair dressing composition containing a setting agent, maltitol and dipropylene glycol as an active ingredient.

The hair dressing composition according to the present invention was excellent in the ability to continuously maintain the styling after application to the hair by enhancing the binding force between the setting agent and the hair and improving the persistence of the setting agent.

The present invention provides a hair dressing composition containing 0.1 to 20% by weight of maltitol, 0.1 to 20% by weight of dipropylene glycol, and 0.1 to 20% by weight of a setting agent and other residual ethanol or water as a solvent.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail.

The term "hair dressing agent" used in the present invention means a finishing cosmetic for hair used when finishing hair in an attractive and beautiful style, and is used in the same meaning as "hair styling agent".

Maltitol used as a binder in the present invention is a reducing sugar of sugar alcohols obtained by reducing maltose, which improves moisture retention of food and is stable to heat, acid and alkali, and the structure thereof is represented by the following Chemical Formula 1:

Maltitol gives the effect of improving the adhesion between hairs. The content of maltitol is preferably 0.1 to 20% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. If the content of maltitol is less than 0.1% by weight, the sustainability of the composition may be weakened, and if it exceeds 20% by weight, the stickiness rises, causing inconveniences in using the product.

Dipropylene glycol used in the present invention is a kind of polyol, and has three isomers represented by the following general formula (2):

Dipropylene glycol improves the adhesive property of the polymer material used as the setting agent and gives the effect of improving the moisture resistance during film formation. Dipropylene glycol is preferably used at 0.1 to 20% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. If the content is less than 0.1% by weight, the sustainability of the composition may be weakened. If the content is more than 20% by weight, the stickiness may increase, resulting in inconvenience in using the product.

Similarly, the styling durability is superior to the polyols used in hair dressing agents, glycerin and propylene glycol. Glycerin and propylene glycol did not achieve the desired styling sustainability.

Setting agents used in the present invention include polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylpyrrolidone / vinylacetate copolymer, vinylpyrrolidone / methacrylamide / vinylimidazole copolymer, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, polyquater Methacrylate, methacryloylethylbetaine / methacrylate copolymer, acrylate / octylacrylamide copolymer, acrylate / t-butylacrylamide copolymer and octylacrylamide / acrylate / butylaminoethylmethacrylate These etc. can be mentioned, These can be used individually or in mixture of 2 or more types.

Polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyvinylpyrrolidone / vinylacetate copolymers are representative nonionic polymers that give strong setting in hair styling products, and vinylpyrrolidone / methacrylamide / vinylimidazole copolymers are vinylpyrrole. The hair dressing composition according to the present invention may use water or ethanol as a solvent, and may further include one or more other additives selected from the group consisting of thickeners, conditioning agents, humectants, flavors, preservatives, and pigments in addition to the above components. The above components can be easily selected and used by those skilled in the art as materials included in conventional hair styling agents.

The hair dressing composition according to the present invention may be formulated as a mousse, a gel, a spray, or the like, and in the case of a gel, a thickener may be used as a pump, aerosol, cream or a tube to a desired viscosity. Mousses and sprays can be prepared in conventional manner using an LPG gas to facilitate spraying and using a suitable container.
