Abstract

An image forming device having a mosaic function and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to easily mosaic an original image without any application program and mosaic the image without adding any key by using a zoom function. A mosaic processor mosaics a specific part of the image. An image forming part forms the mosaic image by responding to a processing result of the mosaic processor. The mosaic processor is equipped with a mode setting part(200) for setting a mosaic mode, a cell size adjuster(210) for adjusting a size of mosaic cell corresponding to a mosaicking area of the image, a cell position adjuster(220) for adjusting a position of the mosaic cell, and a mosaic executor(230) for mosaicking the image. The mode setting part sets up the mosaic mode through the manipulation of a zoom function button.
