Abstract

A method of manufacturing organic fertilizer from organic waste including food waste, and animal waste and excreta is provided to produce the fertilizer while minimizing time and cost of processing the waste, and to prevent environmental contamination by processing the waste in steps of grinding, dehydrating, agitating, breaking and drying. The method includes the steps of: crushing and dehydrating organic waste; adding limestone, sodium hydroxide, magnesium sulfate and/or chlorine to the dehydrated organic waste while agitating; and drying the waste mixture in a dryer after the agitation step and pulverizing the dried mixture into powder. The apparatus consists of: a raw material inlet(1) to feed the organic waste into the apparatus, a chemical additive tank(2), a dry fermenter(3), a feedback screw(4) driven by a motor(G) to agitate the mixture and the additive and a gas output device(6) to discharge methane gas.
