Abstract

PURPOSE: An interface board for interfacing a PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) bus and a motion board on PC-NC(Personal Computer Based Numerical Control) is provided to design/make a motion card using a PCI bus interface in order to enhance speed performance on interface between the motion board and a PC. CONSTITUTION: For a motion controller, DSP320C33 is used as a CPU, an external memory is extended, and an encoder signal is received. A dual port RAM is used for exchanging data with the PC, which is a main controller. The PC and the motion controller are interfaced with the PCI, and interface details are stored in an FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Arrays).

차세대 공작기계의 신기술로 주목받고 있는 PC-NC(Personal Computer Based Numerical Control)는 PC 기술과 수치제어 장치를 결합한 것으로 수치제어장치는 다품종 소량 생산을 하기 위한 생산 공정의 자동화에 있어서 핵심적인 기술이다. 수치제어장치의 국내기술은 외국에 비해서 그 기반이 아주 취약한 형편이며 대부분을 외국에서 수입하여 사용하고 있는 실정이다. 현재 국내의 기술에 의한 개발은 기능상 보급형에 그치고 있으며 많은 공작기계 업체에서 가격과 신뢰성의 문제로 인하여 그 사용을 기피하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 국내의 자본재 산업 기술 보급을 위해 고속 고정도 공작기계용 제어기 및 구동부 기술개발이 필요하며 그 중에서도 고성능의 PC-NC를 위해 PCI버스를 이용한 PC-NC용 구동기술이 필요하다.PC-NC (Personal Computer Based Numerical Control), which is attracting attention as a new technology for the next generation of machine tools, combines PC technology and numerical control device. The domestic technology of the numerical control device is very weak compared to foreign countries, and most of them are imported and used in foreign countries. Currently, the development by domestic technology is only for the functional type, and many machine tool companies are avoiding its use due to the problem of price and reliability. Therefore, the development of high-speed high-precision machine tool controller and drive part technology is needed to spread domestic capital goods industry technology. PCI 로컬 버스의 개요 및 장점Overview and Benefits of PCI Local Bus

1) 32-bit 혹은 64-bit의 데이터 패스를 가지며 32MHz까지 동작하는 동기식 버스이므로 높은 성능을 나타낸다.1) It is a synchronous bus with 32-bit or 64-bit data path and operates up to 32MHz.

전체적으로 모션제어기의 CPUf로는 DSP320C33을 사용했고 외부메모리를 확장하였고 encoder 신호를 받아드릴 수 있도록 하였으며 주제어기인 PC와의 데이터 교환을 위하여 Dual Port RAM을 사용하였다.
