Claims (5)
- 기판;상기 기판의 선단부에, 중앙에는 폭이 좁은 브릿지가 형성되고, 그 양측 각각에는, 상이한 경사 방향으로 기울어진 한 쌍의 측단부를 가지고 상기 브릿지의 양측면과 각기 연결되는, 선체와 후체가 형성되어, 외부의 광 파이버(fiber)로부터 광을 입력받아 특정 편광 방향의 광만을 도파시키는 편광용 광 도파로;상기 편광용 광 도파로의 후체에 연결되는 일측과, 그와 대향하는 방향의 타측 각각에 Y자형의 분기 영역이 형성되며, 그 Y자형의 분기 영역사이에는 일정 거리만큼 이격된 제 1 도파관 및 제 2 도파관이 형성되어, 상기 편광용 광 도파로에서 도파시킨 특정 편광 방향의 광을 스위칭하는 스위칭용 광 도파로;상기 스위칭용 광 도파로의 제 1 도파관과 제 2 도파관 사이, 상기 제 1 도파관의 좌측 및 상기 제 2 도파관의 우측 각각에, 외부에서 발생한 스위칭 구동 전압을 전달하여 상기 스위칭용 광 도파로의 스위칭 동작이 조절되도록 하는 금속 전극군(電極郡)으로 이루어지는, 단일 편광 광 스위치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 기판은;LiNbO3로 이루어진 기판인 것을 특징으로 하는, 단일 편광 광 스위치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 편광용 광 도파로 및 스위칭용 광 도파로는;LiNbO3에 금속(metal)을 확산시켜 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는, 단일 편광 광 스위치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 금속(metal)은;Ti인 것을 특징으로 하는, 단일 편광 광 스위치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 편광용 광 도파로의 선체와 후체는;각각의 측단부가 테이퍼(taper)형상인 것을 특징으로 하는, 단일 편광 광 스위치.
