PURPOSE: To provide a method for mixing food garbage that is an environment polluting source with existing anthracite in a proper weight ratio so that the mixture is used in existing anthracite uses along with anthracite. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing fuel using food garbage comprises a step of pretreating food garbage discharged as waste so that food garbage is pretreated correspondingly to proper conditions of food garbage grain size and moisture content, wherein food garbage is crushed to a grain size corresponding to a sieve size of 100 to 50 meshes by a crusher, and content of moisture contained in food garbage is controlled to about 60 to 30% by injecting a moisture control agent such as sawdust and rice bran into food garbage during the garbage crushing process; and a step of mixing 5 to 95 wt.% of the food garbage treated to proper grain size and moisture content with 95 to 5 wt.% of existing anthracite in such a way that characteristics of the existing anthracite is not greatly damaged.
