용접 시에 용접부와 아주 가까운 20mm거리를 유지하는 팁의 끝 부분은 3600도의 높은 용접 간접열을 제일 많이 받게 됨과 동시에 다른 팁 부위에 비하여 팽창도 많이 되고 팽창에 비례하여 용접와이어구멍은 많이 수축되는바,
종래의 토치헤드(1)의 팁(3)의 용접와이어안내구멍(301)은 도2에 도시한 바와 같이 전체가 동일 직경으로 되었기 때문에 용접 시 용접 열을 제일 많이 받아 다른 부위보다 팽창이 많이 되는 팁(3)의 끝 부분은 팽창에 의하여 용접와이어안내구멍(301)은 좁혀져 용접와이어(4)는 압접된다.
이에 따라 용접와이어(4)는 외부로 배출이 원활하게 이루어 지지 못하여 팽창이 많이 되었을 때는 팁(3)을 냉각시켜 가며 용접해야 됨으로 용접작업효율이 매우 저조한 문제가 따르게 되었다.

이와 같이 된 본 고안은 토치헤드(1)의 용접와이어안내구멍(101)과 팁(3)의 용접와이어안내구멍(301)을 통하여 외부로 배출되는 용접와이어(4)을 가스분사구멍(102)으로 분사되는 이산화탄소가스의 연소열에 의하여 용접와이어(4)을 용융시켜 용접하게 되는 것은 종래와 동일하다.
상기에 있어서 본 고안은 용접부와 제일 가까워 용접고열을 많이 받아 팽창이 제일 많이 이루어지는 팁(3)의 용접와이어안내구멍(301)의 끝 부분에는 용접와이어안내구멍(301)보다 넓은 여유공간홀(3a)을 형성하였으므로 팁(3)의 끝 부분이 용접 열에 의하여 도 1의 원형 내의 여유공간홀(3a)에 점선표시와 같이 많이 팽창될 시에도 종래와는 달리 팽창되는 팁(3)에 의하여 용접와이어(4)은 압접되지 않는다.
이에 따라 팁(3)의 끝이 팽창될 시에도 용접와이어(4)는 원활하게 외부로 이동하게 되므로 종래처럼 수시로 냉각시키지 않고 오랜 시간 용접작업을 행할 수 있게 되어 용접작업효율을 향상시킬 수 있다.
그리고 본 고안은 도면과 설명에 한정되는 것이 아니고 요지를 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 변화시킬 수 있다.
