Abstract

PURPOSE: A check valve to prevent freezing is provided to secure a servo operation of a brake booster in a cold season by preventing freezing of the check valve by heating the check valve in freezing temperature according to temperature of an engine room. CONSTITUTION: A check valve to prevent freezing includes an electric heating body and a bimetal switch. The electric heating body covers around a diaphragm and a spring. The bimetal switch coverts electric condition for the electric heating body according to surrounding temperature. The bimetal switch comprises a first electrode belt(9), a second electrode belt(11) and a bimetal plate(13). The first electrode belt is connected to a power source such as a battery. The second electrode belt is connected to a hot wire coil(7) on one end. The bimetal plate installs a fixed end to the first electrode belt. A free end of the bimetal plate is bent according to change of temperature to contact the second electrode belt.
