Abstract

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for measuring uniformity of green case are provided to complete examination of the uniformity before vulcanization while eliminating alternative process if there is a failure, thereby minimizing cost for raw material and production. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of stopping a molding drum(C); measuring thickness of tread at a reference point(D) around a green case(B) winding the molding drum(C); measuring the thickness of the tread per every revolution using laser sensor(A) during rotation of the molding drum(C); calculating mean value from the measured values divided by total numbers of revolution; comparing a difference between the mean thickness value and the reference(D) thickness value with a permitted value.
