Abstract

PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting short circuit of a fuse using an optical fiber is provided to identify a state of short circuit without using an additional electronic circuit by installing an optical fiber at a bottom portion of a fuse socket. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting short circuit of a fuse using an optical fiber includes a fuse(14), a fuse socket(13), and a light emission portion(21). The fuse(14) is cut when the over current is applied. The fuse(14) is inserted into the fuse socket(13). Both terminals of the fuse(14) are electrically connected when the fuse(14) is inserted into the fuse socket(13). The light emission portion(21) is inserted into the bottom portion of the inserted fuse(14) and the inside of the fuse socket(13). The light emission portion(21) radiates the light of the predetermined intensity when the fuse(14) is a state of the short circuit. The light emission portion(21) is formed with an optical fiber.
