Description
Claims (10)
- 입력단측 광 섬유를 통해 입사된 광의 폭을 확대시키기 위해 광의 진행 경로를 따라 그 폭이 점차 증가하는 형태를 가진 입력단측 광 도파로;상기 입력단측 광 도파로와 소정 간격 이격되어 서로 대향하도록 배치되며, 그 폭이 확대된 광을 출력단측 광 섬유쪽으로 집속하기 위해 광의 진행 경로를 따라 그 폭이 점차 감소하는 형태를 가진 출력단측 광 도파로;상기 입력단측 광 도파로와 상기 출력단측 광 도파로 사이의 공간에 이동가능하도록 배치되어 광의 세기를 가변적으로 감쇠시키는 광 셔터;상기 광 셔터를 이동시키는 MEMS 액추에이터; 및상기 MEMS 액추에이터를 제어하는 제어장치;를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 출력단측 광 도파로의 출력단부에 인접하여 제어용 광 도파로가 상기 출력단측 광 도파로로부터 분기되어 형성되며, 상기 제어용 광 도파로의 출력단부의 전방에는 광수신 소자가 마련됨으로써, 상기 광수신 소자에 의해 감지된 광의 세기에 따라 상기 제어장치가 상기 MEMS 액추에이터를 제어하여 상기 광 셔터의 위치를 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 입력단측 광 도파로와 출력단측 광 도파로는 그 폭이 선형으로 증감되는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 입력단측 광 도파로와 출력단측 광 도파로는 그 폭이 아크형으로 증감되는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 입력단측 광 도파로와 출력단측 광 도파로는 깔때기 형태를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 MEMS 액추에이터는 콤 드라이브인 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 MEMS 액추에이터는 스크래치 드라이브 액추에이터인 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 광 셔터의 상기 입력단측 광 도파로의 개구와 마주보는 일측면은 소정 각도 경사진 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 입력단측 광 도파로, 출력단측 광도파로, 광 셔터 및 MEMS 액추에이터는 하나의 기판 상에 일체로 형성된 것을 특징으로 가변 광 감쇠기.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 입력단측 광 도파로 및 출력단측 광도파로는 제1 기판 상에 형성되고, 상기 광 셔터 및 MEMS 액추에이터는 제2 기판 상에 형성되어, 상기 제1 기판과 제2 기판을 결합시킴으로써 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 가변 광 감쇠기.
