Abstract

A brush(7) which is elastically supported at a brush holder(5) through a spring(6), is connected to the commutator. The brush holder is equipped, at an outer surface thereof, with a heat sink(8) having a plurality of convex-concave parts(9) so as to radiate the heat transmitted from the brush. Since the heat generated from the friction of the brush is transferred to the heat sink and discharged, wear of the brush is significantly reduced.
