Claims (4)
- 액정층을 사이에 두고 대향하는 상하부 기판;상기 하부 기판상에 매트릭스 형태로 배열되어, 수 개의 단위화소를 한정하는 게이트 버스 라인과 데이터 버스 라인;상기 하부 기판의 단위 화소 각각에 형성되고 공통 신호를 인가받는 제1 카운터 전극;상기 하부 기판의 내측면에 형성되는 화소전극;상기 상부 기판의 내측면에 형성되며, 상기 화소 전극과 함께 액정 분자를 동작시키는 전계를 형성하는 제2 카운터 전극;상기 화소 전극과 액정층 사이에 개재되는 제1 수직 배향막;상기 제2 카운터 전극과 액정층 사이에 개재되는 제2 수직 배향막;상기 상부 기판 외측면에 배치되며, 소정의 편광축을 갖는 제1 편광판; 및상기 하부 기판 외측면에 배치되며, 상기 편광자의 편광축과 직교하는 편광측을 갖는 제2 편광판을 포함하며,상기 화소전극은 스트라이프 형태로 소정의 슬릿(slit)을 갖도록 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직 배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1 카운터 전극은 게이트용 도전막 및 ITO막 중 어느 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 수직 배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1 카운터 전극은 화소 전체에 걸쳐 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직 배향 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1 카운터 전극은 상기 화소 전극간의 슬릿 하부에만 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 수직 배향 모드 액정표시장치.
