The present invention relates to a urethane coating method of plastics using plasma, and in particular, the polarity is changed by plasma treatment on the surface of a low-cost plastic material such as polypropylene (PP: POLY PROPYLENE) and polyethylene (PE: POLYETHYLENE) The present invention relates to a urethane coating method of plastics using plasma suitable for making urethane coatings improve adhesion and reducing costs.

In general, the case of home appliances (audio, TV, cassette, computer, video, washing machine, electronic food container, etc.) is made of a plastic material.

As is known, the plastic material is changed in shape by external force (heat and pressure) and retains its shape even after removing the force.

These plastic materials are divided into thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins. The thermoplastic resins are PE, ABS, PP, PS, and PC, which can be softened at higher temperatures and harden at lower temperatures. FRP, urea resin, and melamine resin are resins that are soft when they are synthesized and are soft, but do not soften even after being hardened once heated.

Among the plastic materials as described above, the most commonly used case material for home appliances is because ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer resin) has a polarity on the surface and thus urethane coating is easily performed.

However, ABS, which is used as a case material of conventional home appliances as described above, has a problem in that there is a limit in reducing manufacturing costs at a high price.

The object of the present invention devised in view of the above problems is to plasma the surface of a low-cost plastic material such as PP or PE to change the polarity, and then coated urethane on the surface of the plasma suitable for reducing the cost It is to provide a urethane coating method of the plastic using.

In order to achieve the object of the present invention as described above, the steps of molding the plastic in the form of a final product, plasma treatment of the molded article at atmospheric pressure, and coating the urethane on the surface of the plasma-treated molded article Provided is a urethane coating method of plastics using plasma, characterized in that proceeding to.

Hereinafter, the urethane coating method of the plastic using the present invention plasma as described above in more detail with reference to the embodiment of the accompanying drawings as follows.

As shown in Figure 1, in the urethane coating method of the plastic of the present invention, the plastic material molded into the final product form using PP or PE is cleaned using isopropyl alcohol (IPA).

The plastic material thus cleaned is subjected to plasma treatment to generate polarity (HYDROPHILIC) on the surface, and then, urethane is coated on the surface of the plastic material in which the polarity is generated on the surface.

The plasma refers to a gaseous state which is partially ionized and wholly electrically neutral, and is generated by discharge in a gas or vapor, and the plasma contains reactive species such as electrons, photons, ionized atoms and molecules, and free radicals. The presence of these reactive species results in plasma reforming of the solid surface, and by the plasma reforming, the physicochemical properties of the molecules on the solid surface are changed.

In the embodiment of the present invention, the plasma reforming treatment was performed in an atmospheric pressure plasma processing apparatus, and the conditions were 0.1 in a chamber at a distance of 10 to 200 mm, an applied power of 0.3 to 1.5 KW, and a frequency of 5 to 50 kHz. It is made for ~ 100sec, the surface of the material by the plasma reforming treatment such that the change of polarity from the non-polar (HYDROPHOBIC) to the polarity (HYDROPHILIC), the surface was cleaned (CLEANING).

2A and 2B show changes in the surface of the plastic material before and after the plasma reforming treatment. FIG. 2A shows a state before the plasma reforming treatment, and FIG. 2B shows a state of the surface after the plasma reforming treatment. You can see that there are many (PORE).

In addition, as a result of testing the adhesion of the urethane coating film in the case of the urethane coating after the plasma treatment to PP and PE and the urethane coating to ABS, as shown in the table below, rather than the urethane coating to ABS The adhesiveness was high when the urethane coating was applied by plasma treatment of PP or PE.

As described in detail in the present invention, the urethane coating method of the plastic using the plasma of the present invention is to form a PP or PE in the form of a final product, and the surface of the molded article is plasma treated, and then the urethane is coated on the surface. Coating is carried out in order, and the urethane is coated on the surface by changing the surface of the material physically and chemically using plasma, thereby improving the adhesion of the coated urethane and urethane coating on non-polar, low-cost plastic materials. This reduces the manufacturing cost.
