Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided is an automatic charging method according to model of vehicles, in which ETC(electronic toll collection) recognizes the number and model of vehicles when the vehicles enters a communication range of ETC terminal, and the charge is calculated according to the recognized car model. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) judging whether car enters a predetermined range from base station on roadside; (ii) receiving an information about number(ID) and model of car from the ETC terminal when the car enters the predetermined range; (iii) discriminating a model of corresponding car from the received information, and calculating a charge according to the discriminated car model. The method further comprises the step of pre-storing an information about the number(ID) and model of vehicles in memory of ETC terminal.
