Claims (4)
- 소정 거리를 두고 배치되며, 단위 화소가 한정된 상,하부 기판;상하 기판 사이에 개재되는 수개의 액정 분자를 포함하는 액정층;상기 하부 기판의 단위 화소에 각각 형성되는 카운터 전극;상기 카운터 전극과 함께 프린지 필드를 발생시켜, 단위 화소내 대부분의 액정 분자를 동작시키는 화소 전극;상기 하부 기판과 액정층 사이에 개재되며, 소정의 러빙축을 갖는 수평 배향막;상기 상부 기판과 액정층 사이에 개재되는 수직 배향막;상기 하부 기판 외측면에 배치되며 소정의 편광축을 갖는 편광자; 및상기 상부 기판의 외측면에 배치되며, 소정의 흡수축을 갖는 분해자를 포함하는 FFS-LCD에 있어서,상기 카운터 전극 및 화소 전극은 필드 인가시, 단위 화소내에 대칭되는 두 방향의 제 1 프린지 필드 및 제 2 프린지 필드가 형성되도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 하부 기판과 편광자 사이 및 상부 기판의 분해자 사이 중 적어도 어느 하나에, 위상 보상 필름이 더 개재되는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 위상 보상 필름은 경화된 디스크 타입의 액정 분자들로 구성되고, 디스크 타입의 액정 분자들은 필드 인가전 액정층내의 액정 분자와 90°대칭을 이루도록 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 수평 배향막의 러빙축은 상기 편광자의 편광축과 일치하며, 편광축과 흡수축은 서로 직교하는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
