Description
Claims (7)
- 액정화소들이 다수 배열되어 화상을 표시하는 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 액정물질의 동작을 제어하기 위한 제1전극;상기 제1전극과 연동하여 상기 액정물질의 동작을 제어하도록 상기 제1전극 가까이에 위치하고, 상기 액정물질의 두께보다 크지 아니한 간격을 이루는 살대무늬형태의 제2전극;상기 제2전극의 동작을 제어하기 위한 소정 두께의 제어소자;상기 제1전극 및/또는 제2전극을 포함하며, 상기 액정물질을 통과한 빛의 진행을 조절하도록 제작되는 하판;상기 하판 상부에 위치하여 상기 액정물질의 소정축이 상기 하판과 대체적으로 직각을 이루도록 배열되는 상기 액정물질에 의한 액정층;상기 액정표시장치의 투과율이 양호하도록 상기 제1 및/또는 제2전극과 관련된 소정전위가 인가되는 보조전극; 및,상기 액정층의 상부에 위치하여 상기 보조전극을 포함하고 상기 액정층의 동작을 보조하도록 소정의 방향으로 배열되어, 상기 액정표시장치로 입사된 빛의 진행을 제어하는 상판을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 전계를 향상시킨 수직배향-프린지전계스위칭 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은상기 상판과 약 45도 이내를 이루도록 러빙되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 전계를 향상시킨 수직배향-프린지전계스위칭 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은-15 내지 -3정도의 유전율 이방성을 갖는 음의 액정으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는, 전계를 향상시킨 수직배향-프린지전계스위칭 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은3 내지 15정도의 유전율 이방성을 갖는 양의 액정으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는, 전계를 향상시킨 수직배향-프린지전계스위칭 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은70 내지 100[㎛]정도의 카이랄피치를 갖도록 소정의 도펀트를 첨가하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 전계를 향상시킨 수직배향-프린지전계스위칭 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 상판 및 하판은2 내지 10[㎛]정도의 간격을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는, 전계를 향상시킨 수직배향-프린지전계스위칭 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 상판 및/또는 하판은시야각을 향상시키기 위한 위상보상필림을 적어도 하나 이상 더 포함하는, 전계를 향상시킨 수직배향-프린지전계스위칭 모드 액정표시장치.
