Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for guiding initial setup of a TV set is provided to configure an initial setup screen with a graphic user interface(GUI) environment, so that users can easily perform every kind of setup of the TV set. CONSTITUTION: A kind of a signal inputted to a TV set is selected. Whether a video cassette recorder(VCR) is installed is decided. If a VCR is not installed, every channel which the TV set receives is searched. The time of the TV set is set up. The kind of the signal is a play signal of VCR, a broadcasting signal of sky wave, or a cable broadcasting signal.
