Abstract

PURPOSE: A building material using papermaking sludge is provided which can be used as a heat shield material, a protection material against insects, a waterproof material. CONSTITUTION: The heat shield material and the protection material against insects are produced by a process comprising the steps of: pulverizing a waste paper to make a pulp paper wadding; mixing the paper wadding with the papermaking sludge; adding an urea, a formalin, a sodium hydroxide, a fire extinguisher, an antibacterial drug, deodorizer and then pressing the product. The waterproof material is produced by a process comprising the steps of: mixing the paper wadding with the papermaking sludge; adding an emulsifying agent, a dissolved bitumen in waste lubricant, sand, silica sand and then pressing the product.
