Abstract

PURPOSE: An overrunning clutch for starting motor is provided to accomplish improvement enabling assembling work to be smoothly performed and the lubricant within the overrunning clutch from being scatter or leaked. CONSTITUTION: An overrunning clutch(5) comprises an armature installed in a housing having an electronic switch, a spline arranged at an axis of the armature, and a pinion(6), the overrunning clutch(5) and the pinion(6) being coupled with each other by a cover(7), wherein a panel(71) to form the cover(7) is cut to have an appropriate diameter, and bent to form a roll shape, thus forming the cylindrical cover(7). At a state where the pinion(6) is pressedly inserted into the overrunning clutch(5) with the cover(7) penetrating the pinion(6), the overrunning clutch(5) is coupled thereto.
