Description
The present invention relates to a connector, and more particularly, to a connector capable of firmly fixing a terminal in a housing and preventing erroneous insertion at the same time.
The connector consists of a housing made of insulating material and a terminal made of conductive material seated inside the housing. The terminal performs electrical connection with the terminal of the counterpart connector or the bus bar of the counterpart.
When the terminal is inserted into and seated in the housing, it can be fixed by the lance only when it is inserted in the correct direction. If the direction in which the terminal is inserted into the housing is wrong, the terminal can be inserted into the housing, but is not fixed to the housing, and there is a problem in that it is pushed out of the housing when coupled with the other terminal.
In addition, when a large force is applied to the coupling of the terminals, the terminals cannot be fixed in the housing only by the lance. Therefore, in order to prevent this case, a rear holder or a front holder is separately used to prevent the terminal from being pushed. However, when the rear holder or the front holder is used, there is a problem in that the number of parts constituting the connector increases.
In addition, it is necessary for the operator to check whether the terminal is properly inserted into the housing, but conventionally, such a state cannot be confirmed at a glance. Therefore, there was an inconvenience in that the operator had to go through a separate procedure to check whether the terminal was fixed in place.
An object of the present invention is to solve the conventional problems as described above, so that the terminal can be firmly fixed in the housing and at the same time, it is possible to easily check whether or not the terminal is inserted incorrectly.
Another object of the present invention is to firmly fix the terminal to the housing through a structure integrally provided in the housing and at the same time to check whether or not the terminal is inserted incorrectly.
According to a feature of the present invention for achieving the above object, the present invention provides a housing made of an insulating material and having a terminal seating space penetrating the inside, a terminal seated in the terminal seating space and made of a conductive material, An elastic arm located in an opening communicating the terminal seating space of the housing and the outside and elastically deformable to the outside of the housing, and a support end protruding into the terminal seating space from the tip of the elastic arm and hanging on one side of the terminal; , It may include a confirmation protrusion that protrudes from the front end of the elastic arm to the outside of the housing and is exposed to the outside of the housing, and when the terminal is erroneously inserted, the support end of the elastic arm comes into contact with one side of the terminal and the elastic arm This elastic deformation may cause the confirmation protrusion to protrude out of the housing.
The elastic arm extends within the opening parallel to the terminal in a direction in which the terminal extends.
The support end has a guide slope inclined downward toward the base of the elastic arm, and a terminal support surface hooked to the terminal is formed on the opposite side.
A chamfer is formed at a corner corresponding to the front end of the elastic arm in the confirmation protrusion and is guided to the front end of the housing of the mating connector so that the elastic arm is elastically deformed.
A confirmation channel is formed on the outer surface of the housing in the longitudinal direction of the housing, and a part of the confirmation protrusion protrudes from the confirmation channel so that the lower end of the chamfer is located in the confirmation channel.
In the elastic arm, reinforcing walls are formed on both sides in the width direction of the surface of the confirmation protrusion to support an external force.
In the terminal seating space, a cantilever-shaped lance having a front end hooked to the terminal is further provided opposite to the elastic arm to support the terminal together with the support end.
In the connector according to the present invention, the following effects can be obtained.
In the present invention, an elastic arm capable of elastic deformation is placed in the penetrating portion communicating the exterior of the housing and the terminal seating space, and a support end is placed at the free end of the elastic arm to support one end of the terminal so that the terminal is not pushed, and the elastic arm An identification protrusion is placed on the opposite side of the support end on the arm so that an operator can check the position of the identification protrusion from the outside of the housing. Therefore, in the present invention, the configuration including the elastic arm integrally formed with the housing firmly supports the terminal and at the same time has an effect of being able to check whether or not the terminal is assembled incorrectly.
Particularly, in the present invention, a support end serving to support the terminal and a confirmation protrusion for confirming mis-assembly of the terminal are integrated with the elastic arm integrally formed in the housing. Therefore, there is an effect of being able to have various functions while minimizing the parts constituting the connector.
In addition, in the present invention, since at least a portion of the identification protrusion protruding and exposed to the outside of the housing is positioned within the identification channel on the outer surface of the housing, the size of the connector as a whole can be relatively miniaturized.

When the support end 22 passes the end of the
In this way, when the terminal 40 is accurately inserted and seated in the
Meanwhile, a case where the terminal 40 is turned upside down and inserted into the
Such a state is shown in FIG. 5 . In this way, when the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6 in a state where the
At this time, since the
And, in the process of inserting the terminal 40 into the
However, as the
