Description
The present invention relates to an organic light emitting display device and an encapsulation structure thereof.
The organic light emitting display device is a self-luminous device using a thin light emitting layer between electrodes, and has an advantage in that it can be thinned. A typical organic light emitting display device has a structure in which a pixel driving circuit and an organic light emitting device are formed on a substrate, and an image is displayed while light emitted from the organic light emitting device passes through a substrate or a barrier layer.
The organic light emitting device is deteriorated due to internal factors such as deterioration of the electrode and the light emitting layer by oxygen and deterioration due to the reaction between the light emitting layer and the interface, and at the same time it is easily deteriorated by external factors such as external moisture, oxygen, ultraviolet rays and the manufacturing conditions of the device. happens In particular, since external oxygen and moisture have a fatal effect on the lifespan of the device, packaging of the organic light emitting diode display is very important.
The luminance and lifespan of the display device may decrease, or dark spots and/or pixel shrinkage may occur due to degradation due to oxygen and/or moisture. In order to solve this problem, after depositing an organic light emitting diode on a substrate, the organic light emitting diode is covered with a cover such as a metal can (cap), glass can, or thin film to prevent external impurities. An encapsulation process for sealing the device is being applied. The encapsulation process includes frit sealing, face sealing, thin film encapsulation, and the like.

The self-assembled
The self-assembled
The
자기조립 단분자막(151)의 종류에는 알칸싸이올 자기조립 단분자막(SAM of Alkanethiols), 알킬실록산 자기조립 단분자막(SAM of Alkylsiloxanes), 알킬 자기조립 단분자막(SAM of Alkyl), 알칸인산 자기조립 단분자막(SAM of Alkanephosphonic Acid), 3,4-다이하이드록시페닐에틸아민(SAM of 3,4-Dihydroxyphenylethylamine) 등이 있다.The self-assembled
Next, a side encapsulation structure is applied on the first substrate to surround the organic light emitting device layer and the protective layer (S620), and a filler is applied to the space surrounded by the side encapsulation structure (S630).
(S650).When the application of the dam and fill on the first substrate is finished, the second substrate (upper substrate) is bonded to the first substrate (lower substrate) with the side encapsulation structure and the filler interposed therebetween (S640). ). After bonding, the side encapsulation structure and the filler are cured with heat and/or ultraviolet rays (S650).
Next, a functional organic layer is coated on the outer surface of the side encapsulation structure (S660). The coating process includes applying a solution in which a self-assembled monolayer is dissolved to the outer surface of the side encapsulation structure, and after the solution in which the self-assembled monolayer is dissolved is applied, the solvent of the solution is evaporated It may further include a step of making.
