Abstract

The present invention relates to a handrail using a rope, which is installed by horizontally penetrating a plurality of poles, as a crossbar. According to the present invention, the post includes a main body formed by coupling two vertically split parts and having an empty portion formed at least a portion into which the rope is penetrated. At least one inlet/outlet hole with a predetermined size is horizontally formed in the main body to allow passage of the rope in a coupled state of the split parts. A rope side adjacent to the inlet/outlet hole in the empty space inside the main body has an increased width to be prevented from passing through the inlet/outlet hole. The increased width of the rope side is formed by forming a knot of the rope or fixing and coupling a separate coupling member to the outside of the rope. Accordingly, the rope is fixed by attaching the rope to the post with a simple knot or a simple attachment for the rope, thereby preventing the rope from being biased to one side even if the rope is installed by continuously passing through a plurality of posts.
