중량기준으로 구리(Cu) 80.15%와 주석(Sn) 19.5%, 니켈(Ni) 0.15, 망간(Mn) 0.2%를 혼합하여 합금을 얻은 후 형틀에 부어 모재덩어리를 만드는 모재성형공정(1),
상기 모재를 칼의 몸체의 크기에 맞게 절단하는 절단공정(2),
절단공정을 거친 모재를 열처리를 하여 경도를 낮추는 열처리공정(3),
열처리를 마친 몸체를 단조공정을 통해 평면형체를 갖추는 평면칼성형공정(4),
다시 열처리를 하여 몸체의 경도를 낮추는 2차열처리공정(5),
열처리를 마친 몸체를 압연하여 더욱 얇은 두께로 성형시키는 압연공정(6),
압연공정을 마친 몸체를 담금질하여 경도를 높이는 담금질공정(7),
다시 열처리를 하여 압연공정을 원활히 할 수 있도록 하는 3차열처리공정(8),
몸체를 다시 압연하여 더욱 얇은 두께로 성형하는 2차압연공정(9),
압연공정을 마친 몸체를 다시 열처리하는 경도를 낮추는 4차열처리공정(10),
4차열처리공정을 마친 몸체를 다시 담금질하여 경도를 높이는 2차담금질공정(11).
