The present invention relates to an open mask structure necessary for a process for depositing a material on a large area substrate, and is a method of manufacturing an open mask, which is conventionally made of metal, and which has a high cost and inconvenience caused in processes such as manufacture, attachment, alignment, lifting, To solve the problem.
According to the present invention, it is possible to easily form a mask by attaching a film band having a band-shaped film coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on its back to a portion of the substrate other than the opening.
Further, even in the case of the laminated structure, it is possible to sequentially laminate the film bands in which the adhesive force is controlled in a desired opening shape.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a mask structure necessary for a manufacturing process of a display, a semiconductor, a solar cell, an OLED pixel, an OLED illumination, and the like, and more particularly to an open mask structure required for a process of depositing a material on a large-
In the fabrication of semiconductor devices, display panels, photovoltaic devices, OLED pixels, OLED lighting and the like, the process of depositing a material on a specific portion of a substrate is practiced in almost all cases. In the case of a mask or electrode formed with openings of a pixel or a circuit pattern, or an open mask required for OLED illumination manufacture, the mask is made of a metal material. Such a metal mask is expensive to manufacture and requires alignment equipment And due to its weight, requires special lifting equipment. In the case of manufacturing a display panel, it is increasingly difficult to fabricate a mask and adhere to the mask, because the size of the substrate is becoming larger. In the case of the 8th generation substrate, since the length of one side is 2 m or more, the central deflection phenomenon should be prevented due to the enlargement of the mask, and the alignment, attachment / detachment and lifting process of the metal mask must be carried out by vacuum equipment Automatic control equipment is used, and the shadow effect caused by the thickness of the mask is always problematic.
In order to solve such a problem, although a film is considered as a mask material which is lighter and easier to handle, it is considered that forming a desired size opening in a large film covering the entire substrate is not an easy task in terms of dimensional stability Handling of a large-sized film having an opening portion is not easy, and it is not effective due to morphological deformation due to thermal expansion of the large-area film integrated at the temperature of the deposition process.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a new material capable of eliminating the problems caused by a metal mask and a mask detachably attachable to the substrate in a new method.
The present invention can provide a film band mask for attaching a band made of a film material to a substrate to form a mask of a desired shape.
That is, the present invention provides a mask characterized in that a film band coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back surface is formed by attaching the film band to a portion except an opening portion of the substrate.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the material of the film band is selected from the group consisting of a metal film, a water repellent film subjected to water repellency, a polyimide film, a polyethylene terephthalate film, a polyester film, a polyethylene naphthalate film, a polycarbonate film, a polypropylene film, Film, a Teflon film, and a fiberglass film.
In addition, the present invention can provide a mask characterized in that the film band has a thickness of 1 m or more and 3 mm or less.
Further, the present invention is characterized in that the pressure sensitive adhesive applied on the back surface of the film band is a rubber (natural rubber, synthetic rubber), a polyimide resin, an acrylic, a silicone and other ethylene vinyl acetate or polyvinyl ester pressure- .
When the multilayer thin film is laminated, the film bands are laminated in accordance with the opening shape of each layer, and the adhesive strength of the film bands stacked on the upper layer is controlled so as to be gradually weaker than the adhesive strength of the film bands laminated on the lower layer And a film band is used.
According to the present invention, since a mask can be formed by attaching a band-shaped film band to a substrate, masking can be performed with a very simple process, and the cost can be remarkably lowered. In particular, when a large number of open masks are formed on a large-area substrate, the above effects can be more prominent.
Also, since the film band is attached to the large-area substrate as described above to form the mask, the entire weight is not increased, and the substrate lifting is facilitated.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
1 is a cross-sectional view of a
The backing of the
The overall thickness of the
It is preferable that the
The open mask formed by attaching the
The width and the length of the
2, when the 8th generation large-area substrate having both sides of 2 m or more is divided into six open masks, the
When various kinds of materials are stacked, film bands forming openings of different sizes can be stacked to form a mask necessary for multilayer deposition. One example is a process of stacking an organic film layer and a metal electrode layer of OLED illumination. When a white organic light emitting device is manufactured by sequentially depositing an
The
In this manner, the mask can be constructed with great convenience and low cost.
