Description

차량의 에어백 구조{AIRBAG STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE}Airbag structure of vehicle {AIRBAG STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE}

The present invention relates to an airbag structure of a vehicle, and more particularly, the deployment characteristics of the airbag cushion are changed according to the elapsed state of the airbag cushion, thereby providing a more improved performance for the protection of the passenger by more optimized airbag cushioning action. It's about technology that makes it possible.

The vehicle is provided with an airbag device as a shock absorbing means for protecting passengers in the room in the event of a crash of the vehicle, and the airbag device generates an inflation gas with an inflator when the collision situation of the vehicle is detected. By allowing the cushion to expand, the occupant can be cushioned by the airbag cushion.

The airbag cushion used in the conventional general airbag apparatus as described above is provided with a vent hole for discharging the inflation gas, which is usually used to inflate the airbag cushion, to the outside, so that when the passenger collides with the airbag cushion, By lowering the pressure, it is possible to prevent passenger injuries caused by the airbag cushion and to achieve more effective cushioning.

However, as described above, since the airbag cushion provided with the vent hole has an open structure from the beginning of the airbag inflation, the deployment speed of the airbag cushion becomes slow due to the leakage of unnecessary inflation gas at the beginning of the airbag cushion deployment. In the initial stage of deployment of the airbag cushion, the degree to which the vent hole overlaps with another adjacent portion of the airbag cushion may vary greatly in each case, resulting in a deviation in the deployment of the airbag cushion. there is a problem.

For reference, the following prior art document discloses a conventional airbag cushion having a simple vent hole.

1 is a view illustrating an airbag structure of a vehicle according to the present invention, illustrating a structure in a state where an airbag cushion is deployed;
2 is a sectional view taken along the line II-II in Fig.

1 and 2, an embodiment of the present invention includes an airbag cushion 3 having at least one vent hole 1 formed therein; An opening / closing member (5) provided to open or close the vent hole (1) by the presence of a tension force acting in a specific direction inside the airbag cushion (3); While the airbag cushion 3 is deployed inside the airbag cushion 3, the opening and closing member 5 is formed to provide a tension force to the opening and closing member 5 to close the vent hole 1, It comprises a tension force providing means provided to release the tension force provided to the opening and closing member 5 when the passenger starts to contact the air bag cushion (3).

That is, the opening / closing member 5 of the vent hole 1 of the airbag cushion 3 is closed by the tensile force provided by the tension providing means while the deployment is almost completed from the beginning of the deployment when the airbag cushion 3 starts to be deployed. By suppressing the discharge of the inflation gas to prevent the expansion of the airbag cushion 3 to ensure a rapid and constant deployment speed, the tension force is released when the occupant starts to contact the airbag cushion (3) after the airbag is deployed While the opening and closing member 5 opens the vent hole 1 so that the gas inside the airbag cushion 3 leaks to the outside through the vent hole 1, the impact acting on the passenger can be effectively reduced. It is.

The opening / closing member 5 has a state in which the tension force is provided in a free state with respect to the airbag cushion 3, and the opposite side of the direction in which the tension force is provided is a flexible plate member fixed to the airbag cushion 3. It can be configured as.

The opening and closing member 5 may be made of the same material as the airbag cushion 3 or may be made of a different material. For reference, the opening and closing member 5 of the same material may be formed by sewing the airbag cushion 3. It illustrates the combination of

In the present embodiment, the tension providing means includes a main tether 9 extending from the air bag housing 7 toward the passenger in the air bag cushion 3, the main tether 9, and the opening / closing member 5. It consists of an auxiliary tether (11) connecting one side of the.

That is, while the airbag cushion 3 is deployed, the main tether 9 continuously moves forward, and the behavior of the main tether 9 moves through the auxiliary tether 11 through the opening and closing member ( 5) As the opening and closing member 5 is continuously received by the tensile force to block the vent hole (1), when the passenger starts to contact the airbag cushion (3), it is pressed by the passenger The tensioned state of the main tether 9 is released, and this is transmitted to the auxiliary tether 11 so that the tension force acting on the opening / closing member 5 is released so that the opening / closing member 5 is vent hole 1. ) Will be open.

In the present embodiment, the vent hole 1 is formed symmetrically on both sides of the airbag cushion 3, and the opening and closing member 5 is symmetrically installed to open and close the vent holes 1 on both sides, respectively. The main tether 9 extends to the center of the airbag cushion 3, and the auxiliary tether 11 is connected to the opening and closing members 5 on both sides of the main tether 9. .

On the other hand, the present invention is an elastic force that provides an elastic force to bend the inside of the air bag cushion (3) when the opening and closing member 5 is released from the tension force providing means is released to the inside of the air bag cushion (3) By further including the provision means, it is possible to ensure a more reliable vent hole opening action.

The elastic force providing means may be composed of the opening and closing member (5) itself made of an elastic member having its own elastic force bent inwardly of the air bag cushion (3), it may be provided with a separate leaf spring and the like.

For example, in the case of using the opening / closing member 5 made of an elastic member as described above, before the start of deployment of the airbag cushion 3, the vent hole 1 may be of course opened by the elastic force of the opening / closing member 5 itself. Although bent to open, when the deployment of the airbag cushion (3) is started, the opening and closing member (5) is unfolded with the tension force provided by the tension providing means to block the vent hole (1) to quickly and quickly When a stable deployment is made, and when the passenger starts to contact the airbag cushion 3 and the tensile force provided by the tension providing means is released, it is bent by its own elastic force to open the vent hole 1 more securely, It will be possible to ensure a more smooth discharge performance of the expansion gas.
