Abstract
Description
상기 제1 편광판의 투과축과 상기 제2 편광판의 투과축이 서로 수직이며, 상기 제1 편광판의 투과축과 액정의 배열 방향이 서로 평행할 때, 상기 액정층의 리타데이션(retardation) 값이 350nm~400nm이며, 상기 제1 편광판의 상기 트리 아세틸셀룰로오스(TAC) 필름의 리타데이션 값이 48nm이고, 상기 제2편광판의 상기 트리 아세틸셀룰로오스(TAC) 필름의 리타데이션 값이 60nm~120nm 인 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명은 액정분자를 초기배향하는 배향방향이 게이트 라인에 평행하고 데이터 라인에 평행하며, 액정분자가 기판에 평행한 방향으로 구동하는 횡전계 모드의 액정표시소자에 있어, 액정표시패널의 좌,우측 시야각을 개선하는 최적화된 액정표시소자를 제공한다.
Claims (6)
- 단위화소가 배열되는 제 1 기판과;상기 제 1 기판과 대향하는 제 2 기판과;상기 제 1 기판의 내측 및 제 2 기판의 내측 사이에 형성된 액정층과;상기 제 1 기판의 외측에 부착되며, 트리 아세틸 셀룰로오스(tri-acetyl-cellulose,TAC)필름을 포함하는 제 1 편광판과;상기 제 2 기판의 외측에 부착되며, 트리 아세틸 셀룰로오스(tri-acetyl-cellulose,TAC)필름을 포함하는 제 2 편광판을 구비하며,상기 제1 편광판의 투과축과 상기 제2 편광판의 투과축은 서로 수직하고, 액정의 배열 방향과 상기 제1 편광판의 투과축이 서로 수직일 때, 상기 액정층의 리타데이션(retardation) 값이 350nm~400nm이며, 상기 제1 편광판의 상기 트리 아세틸셀룰로오스(TAC) 필름의 리타데이션 값이 60nm~120nm이고, 상기 제2편광판의 상기 트리 아세틸셀룰로오스(TAC) 필름의 리타데이션 값이 48nm인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 편광판의 투과축과 상기 제2 편광판의 투과축이 서로 수직이며, 상기 제1 편광판의 투과축과 액정의 배열 방향이 서로 평행할 때, 상기 액정층의 리타데이션(retardation) 값이 350nm~400nm이며, 상기 제1 편광판의 상기 트리 아세틸셀룰로오스(TAC) 필름의 리타데이션 값이 48nm이고, 상기 제2편광판의 상기 트리 아세틸셀룰로오스(TAC) 필름의 리타데이션 값이 60nm~120nm 인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 기판은 가로방향으로 배열되는 복수의 게이트 라인과;상기 게이트 라인에 수직한 복수의 데이터 라인과;상기 게이트 라인이 형성되는 방향으로 러빙되는 배향막과;상기 러빙방향과 소정의 각을 이루며 형성되는 화소전극과;상기 화소전극에 대응되는 공통전극을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 편광판 및 제 2 편광판에 형성되는 TAC필름은 액정층을 향하는 상기 편광판들의 내측에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
