- 제1 프로파일과 연관된 입력 데이터를 수신하여 제2 프로파일과 연관된 출력 데이터를 생성하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응(adaptation)을 위한 장치로서,- 제1 프로파일과 연관된 정보를 추출하기 위한 수단,- 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보를 추출하기 위한 수단,- 상기 제1 프로파일과 연관된 정보 및 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보에 따라 상기 입력 데이터를 수정하기 위한 방법을 기술하는 규칙들의 집합을 제공하기 위한 수단,- 상기 규칙들의 집합에 따라 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보에 부합되도록 상기 입력 데이터를 수정하기 위한 수단을 포함하되,- 상기 규칙들의 집합에 따라 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보에 부합되도록 상기 입력 데이터를 수정하는 것을 상기 규칙들의 집합이 허용하지 않을 때, 부가적인 규칙들을 요청하기 위한 수단을 포함하고, 상기 규칙들의 집합 및 상기 부가적인 규칙들은 우선순위에 따라 분류되는 것을특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 규칙들의 집합 및 상기 부가적인 규칙들을 저장하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 규칙들의 집합 및 상기 부가적인 규칙들은 상기 입력 데이터와 함께 수신되는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제2항 중 어느 하나의 항에 있어서,부가적인 규칙들을 요청하기 위한 상기 수단은 사용자에게 요청을 보내는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,하나의 멀티미디어 단말기와 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 멀티미디어 단말기는 네트워크를 통해 서버에 링크되고, 상기 서버는 다수의 프로파일에 따라 상기 입력 데이터를 보내며, 부가적인 규칙들을 요청하기 위한 상기 수단은 상기 서버에게 요청을 보내는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 부가적인 규칙들은 상기 멀티미디어 단말기의 현재 프로파일에 의존하는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 프로파일들은 MPEG-4 프로파일 정의에 따라 정의되는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 장치.
- 제1 프로파일에 부합하는 출력 콘텐츠로서, 제2 프로파일에 부합하는 입력 콘텐츠를 이해할 수 있는 적어도 하나의 제2 장치에 보내지는 출력 콘텐츠를 생성하는 하나의 제1 장치를 포함하는 시스템으로서,상기 제1 프로파일에 부합하는 상기 출력 콘텐츠를 수신하여 상기 제2 장치를 위해 상기 제2 프로파일에 부합하는 출력 콘텐츠를 생성하는 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 장치를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응을 위한 디바이스에 의해 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 적응시키는 방법으로서,- 제1 프로파일과 연관된 입력 데이터를 수신하는 단계,- 제2 프로파일과 연관된 출력 데이터를 생성하는 단계,- 상기 제1 프로파일과 연관된 정보를 추출하는 단계,- 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보를 추출하는 단계,- 규칙들의 집합으로, 상기 제1 프로파일과 연관된 정보 및 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보에 따라 상기 입력 데이터를 수정하기 위한 프로세스를 기술하는 단계,- 상기 규칙들의 집합에 따라 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보에 부합되도록 상기 입력 데이터를 수정하는 단계를 포함하되,- 상기 규칙들의 집합에 따라 상기 제1 프로파일과 연관된 정보를 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 정보로 수정하는 것을 상기 규칙들의 집합이 허용하지 않을 때, 부가적인 규칙들을 요청하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 규칙들의 집합 및 상기 부가적인 규칙들은 우선순위에 따라 분류되는 것을특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 방법.
- 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응을 위한 서버로서,적어도 하나의 클라이언트 단말기에게 데이터를 보내기 위한 수단을 포함하되,상기 데이터는 적어도 제1 프로파일과 연관되고, 상기 클라이언트 단말기는 적어도 제2 프로파일에 부합하며,상기 클라이언트 단말기는 제1 프로파일과 연관된 상기 데이터를 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 데이터로 변환하기 위한 규칙들의 집합을 포함하며,상기 서버는 상기 클라이언트 단말기가 상기 제1 프로파일과 연관된 상기 데이터를 상기 제2 프로파일과 연관된 데이터로 변환할 수 없을 때, 상기 클라이언트 단말기의 요청에 따라 적어도 하나의 상기 클라이언트 단말기에게 부가적인 규칙들을 보내기 위한 수단을 포함하고, 상기 규칙들의 집합 및 상기 부가적인 규칙들은 우선순위에 따라 분류되는 것을 특징으로 하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 적응 서버.
- 컴퓨터 프로그램을 기록한 매체로서,셋톱 박스 상에서 또는 디지털 텔레비전 수신기 상에서 실행될 때, 제11항에 따른 방법을 실행하는 프로그램 코드 명령어들을 포함하는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 기록한 매체.
