Claims (10)
- 유선 통신 방법에 있어서:국부(local) 물리적 계층(PHY)에서, 하나 또는 그 이상의 트위스트-페어 와이어들(twisted-pair wires)이 원격(remote) PHY에서 액티브인지를 검출(detect)하되, 여기서 상기 국부 PHY 및 상기 원격 PHY는 상기 하나 또는 그 이상의 트위스트-페어 와이어들을 통해 통신상으로 결합되는 단계;상기 검출된 하나 또는 그 이상의 액티브 트위스트-페어 와이어에 근거하여 상기 국부 PHY가 상기 원격 PHY에 대해 마스터(master) 장치인지 슬레이브(slave) 장치인지를 결정하는 단계;상기 국부 PHY가 마스터 장치일 때, 상기 원격 PHY에 링크 길이 값(link length value)을 통신하기 전에 상기 원격 PHY로부터 수신된 트위스트-페어 와이어 교환(swap) 정보를 교정(correct)하는 단계;상기 국부 PHY가 슬레이브 장치일 때, 상기 원격 PHY로부터 통신된 링크 길이 값을 복원(recover)하기 전에 상기 원격 PHY로 트위스트-페어 와이어 교환 정보를 송신하는 단계;상기 링크 길이 값에 근거하여 상기 국부 PHY에 의해 지원되는 상기 원격 PHY 동작 모드들로 통신하는 단계; 및상기 국부 PHY 및 상기 원격 PHY에 공통으로 풀 듀플렉스(full duplex) 동작 모드를 수립(establish)하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유선 통신 방법.

- 유선 통신 시스템에 있어서:원격 PHY에서 하나 또는 그 이상의 액티브 트위스트-페어 와이어들의 검출을 가능하게 하는 국부 PHY를 포함하되, 여기서 상기 국부 PHY 및 상기 원격 PHY가 상기 하나 또는 그 이상의 트위스트-페어 와이어들을 통하여 통신상으로 결합가능하고;상기 국부 PHY는 상기 검출된 하나 또는 그 이상의 액티브 트위스트-페어 와이어에 근거하여 상기 국부 PHY가 마스터 장치인지 슬레이브 장치인지를 결정하는 것을 가능하게 하고;상기 국부 PHY가 마스터 장치일 때, 상기 국부 PHY는 상기 원격 PHY로 링크 길이 값을 통신하기 전에 상기 원격 PHY로부터 수신된 트위스트-페어 와이어 교환 정보의 교정을 가능하게 하고;상기 국부 PHY가 슬레이브 장치일 때, 상기 국부 PHY는 상기 원격 PHY로부터 통신된 링크 길이 값을 복원하기 전에 상기 원격 PHY로 트위스트-페어 와이어 교환 정보의 전송을 가능하게 하고;상기 국부 PHY는 상기 링크 길이 값에 근거하여 상기 국부 PHY에 의해 지원되는 동작 모드들의 상기 원격 PHY에의 통신을 가능하게 하고;상기 국부 PHY는 상기 국부 PHY 및 상기 원격 PHY에 공통으로 풀 듀플렉스 동작 모드를 수립하는 것을 가능하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유선 통신 시스템.
- 청구항 8에 있어서,상기 국부 PHY는 국부 PHY 트위스트_페어 와이어들이 액티브인 것을 나타내기 위해 상기 원격 PHY로의 전송을 위하여 상기 국부 PHY 내에서 하나 또는 그 이상의 송신기들에서 신호들의 생성을 가능하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유선 통신 시스템.
