Claims (18)
- 화소(畵素)전극을 갖는 제1 기판과 대향전극을 갖는 제2 기판의 사이에 액정재료를 협지(挾持)한 액정표시 패널을 갖는 액정표시장치이며,상기 제2 기판은, 도체막(導體膜)을 성막(成膜)한 후, 상기 도체막 위에 절연막을 성막하고, 상기 절연막을 패터닝하여 형성되는 배향제어돌기(配向制御突起)와, 상기 배향제어돌기를 마스크로 해서 상기 도체막을 패터닝하여 형성되는 차광층(遮光層)을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 배향제어돌기 및 상기 차광층은, 상기 대향전극과 상기 화소전극의 사이에 마련되어져 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 대향전극은, 상기 차광층의 패터닝보다도 뒤에 성막된 도체막으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서,상기 차광층은, 기판평면상에서 보았을 때의 외주(外周)가 상기 배향제어돌기의 외주보다도 안쪽이며, 또한, 상기 차광층의 상기 외주의 측면의 전면이 상기 배향제 어돌기로 덮어져 있지 않은 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서,상기 차광층은, 기판평면상에서 보았을 때의 외주가 상기 배향제어돌기의 외주와 일치하거나, 또는 외측인 것을 특징으로 하는 기재의 액정표시장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 차광층의 외주는, 상기 차광층의 상기 외주의 각점에 있어서의 상기 배향제어돌기의 외주로부터의 거리가 일정한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제2 기판은, 상기 대향전극과 상기 화소전극의 사이의 상기 액정재료의 층의 두께를 2가지로 하는 단차형성층(段差形成層)을 갖고, 상기 배향제어돌기 및 상기 차광층은, 상기 단차형성층의 단부(端部)를 지나고, 상기 액정재료의 층의 두께가 다른 2개의 영역에 연장하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 액정표시 패널은, 상기 화소전극과 상기 대향전극과의 사이의 전위차(電位差)가 0(零)일 때에, 상기 액정재료중의 액정분자(液晶分子)가, 기판평면에 대하여 수직한 방향으로 배향되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 화소전극을 갖는 제1 기판과 대향전극을 갖는 제2 기판의 사이에 액정재료를 협지(挾持)한 액정표시 패널을 갖는 액정표시장치이며,상기 제1 기판은, 도체막을 성막한 후, 상기 도체막 위에 절연막을 성막하고, 상기 절연막을 패터닝하여 형성되는 배향제어돌기와,상기 배향제어돌기를 마스크로 해서 상기 도체막을 패터닝하여 형성되는 차광층을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 배향제어돌기 및 상기 차광층은, 상기 화소전극과 상기 대향전극의 사이에 마련되어져 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 화소전극은, 상기 차광층의 패터닝보다도 뒤에 성막된 도체막으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서,상기 차광층은, 기판평면상에서 보았을 때의 외주가 상기 배향제어돌기의 외주보다도 안쪽에 있으며, 동시에 상기 차광층의 상기 외주 측면의 전면(全面)이 상기 배향제어돌기로 덮여 있지 않은 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서,상기 차광층은, 기판평면상에서 보았을 때의 외주가 상기 배향제어돌기의 외주와 일치하거나, 또는 외측인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 차광층의 외주는, 상기 차광층의 상기 외주의 각점에 있어서의 상기 배향제어 돌기의 외주로부터의 거리가 일정한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제9항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 액정표시 패널은, 상기 화소전극과 상기 대향전극과의 사이의 전위차가 0(零) 일 때에, 상기 액정재료중의 액정분자가, 기판평면에 대하여 수직한 방향으로 배향되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 화소전극을 갖는 제1 기판과 대향전극을 갖는 제2 기판에 액정재료를 협지(挾持)한 액정표시 패널을 갖고, 상기 제1 기판은 상기 대향전극과 상기 화소전극 사이의 상기 액정재료의 층의 두께를 2가지로 하는 단차형성층 및 상기 단차형성층과 중첩 하는 영역에 배치된 반사층을 갖는 액정표시장치이며,상기 제1 기판은, 도체막을 성막한 후, 상기 도체막 위에 절연막을 성막하고, 상기 절연막을 패터닝하여 형성되는 상기 단차형성층과, 상기 단차형성층을 마스크로 해서 상기 도체막을 패터닝하여 형성되는 차광층(遮光層)을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 차광층은, 상기 단차형성층과 중첩하는 영역의 외측까지 연장하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제16항 또는 제17항에 있어서,상기 액정표시 패널은, 상기 화소전극과 상기 대향전극과의 사이의 전위차가 0(零)의 때에, 상기 액정재료 중의 액정분자가, 기판평면에 대하여 수직한 방향에 배향되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
