Abstract

An air tank pressure control apparatus for a vehicle is provided to maintain pressure of an air tank at a predetermined pressure level by raising inner temperature of the air tank with an electric heater. In an air tank pressure control apparatus for a vehicle, an air tank(20b) is filled with air with a predetermined pressure. The air in the air tank is supplied to brakes of wheels through a booster, when a brake pedal(30) is in operation. An electric heater(50) and a pressure sensor(60) are installed in the air tank. The electric heater contacts a storage battery(80) through a relay(70). The pressure sensor and the relay are in contact with an ECU(Electric Control Unit,90). The relay is turned on and the electric heater is in operation, when inner pressure of the air tank sensed by the pressure sensor is under a set pressure. The electric heater heats the inner air of the air tank such that brake pressure rises.
