Claims (25)
- 양방향 디지털 방송 시스템 내에서 지능형 송수신기(intelligent transceiver)로부터 또는 지능형 송수신기로 디지털 신호들을 송수신하기 위한 방법에 있어서:a) 상기 지능형 송수신기의 대역내 튜너(in-band tuner)에서, 스크램블된 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트를 포함하는 대역내 디지털 신호들을 수신하는 단계; 및b) 상기 지능형 송수신기의 케이블 모뎀에 연결된 제 2 튜너를 이용하여, 인터넷을 통해 디지털 스크램블 키 및 서비스 정보를 수신하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 디지털 스크램블 키는 상기 대역내 디지털 신호들의 상기 스크램블된 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트를 디스크램블하기 위해 사용되고, 상기 서비스 정보는 상기 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트에 관련하는 정보를 제공하는 전자 프로그램 가이드를 생성하는데 이용되는, 디지털 신호를 송수신하는 방법.

- 제 1 항에 있어서,e) 상기 케이블 모뎀을 통해 상기 지능형 송수신기로부터 과금 정보(billing information)를 전송하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 디지털 신호를 송수신하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,f) 디스크램블러(descrambler)를 이용하여 상기 스크램블된 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트를 디스크램블하는 단계;g) 디코더를 이용하여 상기 디스크램블러의 출력을 디코딩하는 단계; 및h) 디스플레이 디바이스 상에 디스플레이하기 위해 상기 디코더의 출력을 렌더링하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 디지털 신호를 송수신하는 방법.
- 지능형 송수신기에 있어서:버스;상기 버스에 연결되어, 스크램블된 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트를 포함하는 대역내 디지털 신호들을 디지털 방송 시스템으로부터 수신하도록 구성된 대역내 튜너;상기 버스에 연결되어, 상기 대역내 디지털 신호들의 상기 스크램블된 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트를 디스크램블하는데 이용되는 스크램블 키와 상기 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트에 관련하는 정보를 제공하는 전자 프로그램 가이드를 생성하는데 이용되는 서비스 정보를 포함하는 디지털 신호들을, 인터넷을 통하여 케이블 모뎀을 통해 수신하도록 구성되는 제 2 튜너; 및상기 대역내 튜너 및 상기 제 2 튜너에 연결되어, 디스플레이 디바이스 상에 랜더링하기 위한 출력 오디오/비디오 신호를 생성하는 회로를 포함하는, 지능형 송수신기.

- 지능형 송수신기를 포함하는 양방향 디지털 방송 시스템에 있어서,상기 지능형 송수신기는:스크램블된 오디오 컨텐트 및 스크램블된 비디오 컨텐트를 포함하는 대역내 디지털 신호들을 수신하기 위한 대역내 튜너;제 2 튜너;상기 제 2 튜너에 연결된 케이블 모뎀으로서, 상기 제 2 튜너는 상기 케이블 모뎀을 통하여 디지털 신호들을 수신하고, 상기 케이블 모뎀을 통하여 수신된 상기 디지털 신호들은 스크램블된 디지털 신호를 디스크램블하는데 이용되는 스크램블 키와 상기 오디오 및 비디오 컨텐트와 관련하는 정보를 제공하는 전자 프로그램 가이드를 생성하는데 이용되는 서비스 정보를 포함하는, 상기 케이블 모뎀; 및상기 스크램블 키를 이용하여, 상기 스크램블된 오디오 컨텐트 및 상기 스크램블된 비디오 컨텐트를 디스크램블하기 위한 디스크램블러를 포함하는, 양방향 디지털 방송 시스템.
