Abstract

A coating bar for a coater is provided to allow an ink or a paint to be coated uniformly on the surface of paper, film, glass, etc., to improve the convenience and easiness of cleaning and maintenance and to prevent the generation of ink dregs. A coating bar comprises a cylinder-shaped rod(1) for rotation or fixation; and a synthetic resin layer(2) which is formed on the outer circumference of the rod and is provided with the thread of a screw. Preferably the synthetic resin layer is formed by using a fluorocarbon-based synthetic resin. Preferably rod has a plurality of projections of a circular arc, and a terminal of the thread of a screw of the synthetic resin layer has a cross-sectional shape of a circular arc, a wave, a rectangle or a triangle.
