Claims (10)
- 소정의 형상으로 패터닝된 투명 전극을 각각 갖는 한 쌍의 지지 기판 및 액정 측의 하나 이상의 투명 전극 상에 형성된 절연막을 구비하는 액정 표시 소자로서,상기 절연막은, 상기 투명 전극의 굴절율에 대해 0.15 이하의 굴절율 차이를 제공하며 반경 500 ㎛ 의 영역에서 ±500 Å 이상의 막 두께 분포를 갖는 막인, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 절연막에 막 두께 분포를 제공하기 위해, 상기 투명 전극이 형성되어 있는 측에서 상기 절연막을 가진 지지 기판 상에 요철부가 형성되는, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 요철부의 산 (peak) 대 골짜기 (bottom) 의 깊이는 3 ㎛ 이상인, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 절연막 대신에 배향막이 형성되는, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,표시/관찰면 측에 상기 절연막을 갖는 상기 기판 상에 요철부가 형성되는, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서,표시/관찰면 반대측에 상기 절연막을 갖는 상기 기판 상에 요철부가 형성되는, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,TN 액정 재료가 사용되는, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 액정 재료에는 이색성 염료가 사용되는, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,표시/관찰면 측에 상기 배향막을 갖는 상기 기판 상에 요철부가 형성되는, 액정 표시 소자.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,표시/관찰면 반대측에 상기 배향막을 갖는 상기 기판 상에 요철부가 형성되는, 액정 표시 소자.
