Claims (5)
- 상부 및 하부 기판 사이에 액정층이 개재되고, 화소 전극과 공통 전극 사이에 발생한 전압차에 의하여 상기 액정층이 구동함으로써, 상기 액정층에 투과되는 빛의 양이 변화되는 다수개의 화소 영역과, 상기 화소 영역들 각각의 사이에 마련되어 투과되는 빛을 차단하는 불투명 금속 배선이 배치된 차광 영역을 포함한 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 하부 기판 상에는,제1굴절률을 갖는 절연막;상기 절연막의 상부 및 불투명 금속 배선과의 사이에 상기 제 1 굴절률보다 작은 제2굴절률을 가지고, 상기 이웃하는 화소 영역 사이의 차광영역에 마련되며, 상기 차광영역으로부터 이웃하는 각각의 화소 영역 방향으로 연장되어 상기 각각의 화소 영역의 일부분과 중첩되는 유전층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 차광영역으로부터 하나의 이웃하는 화소영역 방향으로 연장되는 유전층의 선폭은 상기 액정층과 접하는 상부기판의 일면으로부터 유전층의 상부까지의 높이보다 작은 길이로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 차광영역으로부터 하나의 이웃하는 화소영역 방향으로 연장되는 유전층의 선폭은 8㎛ 보다 작게 형성됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 절연막은 1.8~1.9의 굴절률을 갖고, 상기 유전층은 1.4~1.6 의 굴절률을갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 하는 액정표시장치.
