Claims (5)
- 데이터 패킷을 포함하는 변조 신호를 포함하는 이미지를 나타내는 데이터스트림을 포함하는 수신된 신호를 처리하는 시스템에서, 신호 처리 방법에 있어서,복조 신호를 생성하기 위해 상기 수신된 신호를 복조하는 단계와,등화된 신호를 생성하기 위해 상기 복조된 신호를 적응성 있게 등화하는 단계와,상기 등화된 신호에 있는 패킷 에러를 검출하기 위해 상기 등화된 신호를 에러 검출하는 단계와,상기 등화 단계 동안 상기 검출된 패킷 에러의 함수로서 필터 계수 단계 값을 조정하는 단계를포함하는, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 수신된 신호는 다중 준위 심볼 배열(multiple level symbol constellation)로 표시되는 고선명 비디오 정보를 포함하는 잔류 측대역(VSB : Vestigial Sideband) 변조된 신호이며, 상기 데이터는 연속 데이터 프레임으로 구성된 데이터 프레임 포맷을 구비하는, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 에러 검출 단계는 상기 등화 신호를 리드-솔로몬(Reed-Solomon) 에러 검출 및 정정하는 단계를 포함하는, 신호 처리 방 법.
- 데이터 패킷을 포함하는 이미지를 나타내는 데이터스트림을 포함하는 수신된 신호를 처리하는 시스템에서, 신호 등화 방법에 있어서,(a) 디폴트 계수 단계 크기(default coefficient step size)로 이퀄라이저를 초기화하는 단계와,(b) 패킷 에러의 양을 결정하는 단계와,(c) 상기 결정된 패킷 에러의 양이 미리 결정된 준위를 초과하지 않으면 상기 초기 단계 크기를 유지하는 단계와,(d) 상기 결정된 패킷 에러의 양이 미리 결정된 준위를 초과하면 계수 단계 크기(coefficient step size)를 감소시키는 단계와,(e) 상기 패킷 에러의 양이 상기 단계 (d)에 있는 상기 계수 단계 크기를 감소시킨 후 증가하였는지를 결정하는 단계와,(f) 상기 패킷 에러의 양이 상기 단계 (d)에 있는 상기 계수 단계 크기를 감소시킨 후 증가하였으면 상기 디폴트 계수 단계 크기로 되돌리는 단계를포함하는, 신호 등화 방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 결정 단계는 리드-솔로몬 FEC 검출기의 동작과 연관된 패킷 에러 양을 결정하는 단계를 포함하는, 신호 등화 방법.
