Claims (20)
- 이미지 시퀀스의 각각의 프레임을 인코딩하기 위해 비트들을 할당하는 방법으로서, 각각의 상기 프레임은 적어도 하나의 블록을 가지며, 상기 방법은,(a) 상기 프레임에 대한 타겟 프레임 비트율을 결정하는 단계; 및(b) 상기 적어도 하나의 블록에 대한 타겟 블록 비트율에 따라 상기 적어도 하나의 블록 사이에서 상기 타겟 프레임 비트율을 할당하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 적어도 하나의 블록에 대한 상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 상기 블록의 절대차 평균(Mad)에 따라 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 임계값(Hq)에 따라 조절되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 상기 적어도 하나의 블록 사이에서 상기 타겟 프레임 비트율을 할당하는 상기 단계 (b)로부터 상기 임계값(Hq) 이하인 절대차의 합(SAD)을 가진 상기 프레임 내에 있는 각각의 블록을 제거함으로써 조절되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 블록은 매크로블록인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,(c) 상기 타겟 블록 비트율에 따라 상기 적어도 하나의 블록에 대한 양자화 스케일을 생성하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,(c') 이전 블록의 이전 양자화 스케일에 따라 상기 양자화 스케일을 조절하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,(d) 상기 양자화 스케일을 이용하여 상기 적어도 하나의 블록을 인코딩하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 이미지 시퀀스의 각각의 프레임을 인코딩하기 위한 장치로서, 상기 프레임은 적어도 하나의 블록을 가지며, 상기 장치는,현재 프레임의 예측된 이미지를 생성하는 모션 보상기;복수의 계수들을 생성하는 변환을 상기 현재 프레임과 상기 예측된 이미지 사이의 차이 신호에 적용하는 변환 모듈;적어도 하나의 양자화 스케일을 이용하여 상기 복수의 계수들을 양자화하는 양자화기; 및상기 적어도 하나의 블록에 대한 타겟 블록 비트율에 응답하여 현재 프레임에 대한 상기 적어도 하나의 양자화 스케일을 선택적으로 조절하는 제어기를 포함하며,상기 적어도 하나의 블록에 대한 상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 상기 블록의 절대차 평균(Mad)에 따라 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 임계값(Hq)에 따라 조절되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 상기 임계값(Hq) 이하인 절대차의 합(SAD)을 가진 상기 프레임 내에 있는 각각의 블록을 제거함으로써 조절되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 블록은 매크로블록인 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 타겟 프레임 비트율로부터 획득되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 복수의 명령들을 저장하는 컴퓨터-판독 가능 매체로서, 상기 복수의 명령들은 프로세서에 의해 실행되면 상기 프로세서가 단계들을 수행하도록 하며, 상기 단계들은,(a) 프레임에 대한 타겟 프레임 비트율을 결정하는 단계; 및(b) 적어도 하나의 블록에 대한 타겟 블록 비트율에 따라 상기 적어도 하나의 블록 사이에서 상기 타겟 프레임 비트율을 할당하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 적어도 하나의 블록에 대한 상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 상기 블록의 절대차 평균(Mad)에 따라 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터-판독 가능 매체.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 타겟 블록 비트율은 임계값(Hq)에 따라 조절되는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터-판독 가능 매체.
