Claims (10)
- 제1 및 제2 입력 신호에 응답하여, 상기 제1 및 제2 입력 신호의 합을 나타내는 제1 출력 신호와 상기 제1 입력 신호와 제2 입력 신호간의 차를 나타내는 제2 출력 신호를 발생하는 전력 조합기와,상기 제1 및 제2 출력 신호 중의 한 출력 신호에 결합되는 전력 복구 회로를 포함하고,상기 전력 조합기는 제1, 제2, 제3 및 제4 포트를 구비하며,상기 제1 및 제2 포트는 상기 제1 및 제2 입력 신호에 각각 결합되고,상기 제3 및 제4 포트는 상기 제1 및 제2 출력 신호를 각각 공급하며,상기 제1 출력 신호는 상기 제1 입력 신호의 일부와 상기 제2 입력 신호의 일부로부터 발생되고, 상기 제1 입력 신호의 일부와 상기 제2 입력 신호의 일부는 제1 위상차를 가지며,상기 제2 출력 신호는 상기 제1 입력 신호의 일부와 상기 제2 입력 신호의 일부로부터 발생되고, 상기 제1 입력 신호의 일부와 상기 제2 입력 신호의 일부는 제2 위상차를 가지며, 상기 제2 위상차는 상기 제1 위상차에 180°를 더한 것과 실질적으로 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 포트와 상기 제3 포트 사이에 결합된 제1 임피던스 트랜스포머와,상기 제2 포트와 상기 제3 포트 사이에 결합된 제2 임피던스 트랜스포머와,상기 제2 포트와 상기 제4 포트 사이에 결합된 제3 임피던스 트랜스포머와,상기 제4 포트와 상기 제1 포트 사이에 결합된 제4 임피던스 트랜스포머를 더 포함하고,상기 제1, 제2 및 제4 임피던스 트랜스포머 각각은 실질적으로 90°의 위상 시프트를 가지며,상기 제3 임피던스 트랜스포머는 실질적으로 270°의 위상 시프트를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 효율적인 전력 증폭 방법에 있어서,합 및 차 조합을 사용하여 2개의 무선 주파수 입력 신호를 조합하여 진폭 변조된 신호와 전력 복구 신호를 발생하는 단계와,상기 전력 복구 신호로부터 도출된 에너지를 전력원으로서 재사용하기 위해 저장하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 효율적 전력 증폭 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 2개의 입력 신호는 서로에 대해 일정한 진폭과 가변 위상 관계를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 효율적 전력 증폭 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 2개의 무선 주파수 입력 신호를 조합하는 상기 단계는,상기 2개의 입력 신호간에 서로에 대해 제1 크기의 위상 시프트를 제공하여 상기 진폭 변조된 신호를 발생하는 단계와,상기 2개의 입력 신호간에 상기 제1 크기의 위상 시프트에, 서로에 대해 실질적으로 180°의 부가적인 위상 시프트를 더한 위상 시프트를 제공하여 상기 전력 복구 신호를 발생하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 효율적 전력 증폭 방법.
- 송신기에서 무선 주파수 에너지를 복구하는 방법에 있어서,소정의 가변 위상 관계를 갖고 실질적으로 일정한 진폭을 갖는 제1 및 제2 증폭된 무선 주파수 신호를 발생하는 단계와,합 및 차 조합기를 사용하여 상기 제1 및 제2 증폭된 무선 주파수 신호를 조합하여 진폭 변조된 무선 주파수 신호와 전력 복구 무선 주파수 신호를 발생하는 단계와,상기 전력 복구 무선 주파수 신호를 직류 전력 신호로 변환하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 송신기에서의 무선 주파수 에너지 복구 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 직류 전력 신호를 사용하여 에너지 셀을 재충전시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 송신기에서의 무선 주파수 에너지 복구 방법.
