Abstract
PURPOSE: Provided are a complex catalyst system for removing organic compounds and a complex catalyst composition which is able to effectively remove the organic compounds including benzene and carbohydrate. CONSTITUTION: The complex catalyst system comprises a pre-treating filter(22) removing fine dusts and various floating matters contained in flown air through an inlet(6), a complex catalyst filter(24) selected from an oxidative complex filter where an oxidative filter composition is coated to adsorb and decompose various volatile organic compounds and sterilize various pathogenic bacteria contained in the air passed through the pre-treating filter, a reductive complex filter where a reductive filter composition is coated and an oxidative-reductive complex filter where the oxidative filter composition and the reductive filter composition are sequentially laminated, an activated carbon fiber filter(26) removing bad smells and ultrafine particles, not treated by the complex catalyst filter, and secondary contaminants generated from the complex catalyst filter and an air pressure meter(28) informing the replacing time of the filter by checking the pressure difference between the inlet and an outlet. The complex catalyst composition is characterized in that it is prepared by (a) dissolving the oxidative catalyst composition in 15-30 wt.% of distilled water having a temperature of about 80 °C, 15-30 wt.% of methanol and 5-10 wt.% of 3% aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid; (b) after mixing 25-35 wt.% of TiO2 with the mixed solution of the step (a), stirring it to completely dissolve; (c) after mixing the mixture of the step (b) for about 2 hours at a Hg high-pressure lamp, adding 18-24 grams of zeolite 13X, 4-8 grams of AgI and 3-5 grams of MoO3 based on 100 grams of the TiO2 thereto and mixing it for 0.5-1 hour; and (d) adding 55-65 grams of an inorganic-based binder and 28-24 grams of a solvent to the mixture of the step (c) and stirring it for about 2-8 hours.
