Description

Sheet composition for bathtub

The present invention relates to a sheet composition for a bath, and more particularly, to a multilayer-laminated sheet composition for a bath that enables recycling of scrap through an alloy of a synthetic resin composition.

A bathtub is generally a bathtub (hereinafter referred to as a bathtub) in a broad sense including a bath, a basin, a sink, and the like, and generally a scrap (SCRAP) is generated when the sheet constituting the bathtub is manufactured. do.

Scrap is a generic term for extraneous goods that occur from the beginning of production to the genuine product, which are not commercialized by the incorporation of the edges on both sides of the sheet, partly mixed after cutting into sheets of sheet size during sheet production.

The generation of scrap is about 20-40% in the process, and in general, scrap (SCRAP) is discarded because it is impossible to recycle, and not only raises the price of the product, but also causes the problem of harming the environment due to such waste.

The present invention devised to solve the problems as described above is to provide a multi-layer sheet capable of recycling the scrap generated during the production of the bath sheet by using an alloy in which two resins are mixed in the lower layer of the bath.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a bath sheet with improved physical properties compared to a bath sheet composed of conventional PMMA and ABS resin.

In order to achieve the above object, the synthetic resin composition for acrylic bath of the present invention uses an alloy of PMMA and ABS in the lower layer.

Generally, acrylic bath is composed of two layers, the upper layer is composed of PMMA (POLYMETHYL METHA ACRYLATE), and the lower layer is composed of ABS (ACRYLO BUTADIENE STYR ENE). It is a multilayer structure composed of ~ 75%.

In the present invention, by selecting the ABS well mixed with the PMMA in the lower layer to form an alloy between the two, the mixing ratio is 1: 9 ~ 9: 1, particularly, 4: 6 ~ 6: 4 is preferred.

By using the alloy of PMMA and ABS in this way, the scrap (alloy of the upper layer PMMA and lower layer PMMA and ABS) generated during forming the sheet can be ground again and reused as the alloy layer of the lower layer PMMA and ABS. .

The alloys of PMMA and ABS according to the invention apply only to the lower layer. Since the upper layer requires scratch resistance, it is necessary to have a high hardness, while the lower layer buffers against shock and adhesion and shrinkage with the unsaturated polyester reinforcing material attached to the lower layer.

In general, when the two resins are used in combination, it is common to have poor physical properties, so in the present invention, it is very important to select a suitable ABS.

For example, if the melt index is different in the alloy of PMMA and ABS resin, there is a disadvantage in that the tub surface is not smoothed during the secondary molding. Therefore, in the present invention, it is preferable that the ABS resin has an acrylonitrile content of 9 to 29 wt% and a melt index of 0.5 to 20.

The alloy of PMMA and ABS resin has 4 ~ 8 times higher tensile strain energy than PMMA or ABS resin alone, so that the product can be molded well in vacuum forming, the surface smoothness is excellent, and scrap can be recycled up to 30% without deterioration of physical properties.

Conventional acrylic baths are made of a multilayer structure of PMMA resin and ABS, which makes it impossible to recycle scrap generated during sheet production. However, according to the present invention, scrap can be recycled by using a mixture of PMMA and ABS in the lower layer of the acrylic bath sheet. This can lower sheet manufacturing cost, which is competitive and reduces environmental pollution by reducing waste. In addition, the tensile strain energy is improved compared to the conventional sheet composition, it is possible to obtain a product with a smooth surface state when forming a bath.
