Claims (2)
- 다수의 특정용도 집적회로(ASIC : Application Specific Integrated Circuit)를 포함하여 구성된 장치에 적용되어 ASIC들 간의 장애 위치를 파악하기 위한 장애 위치 탐색 장치에 있어서, 장애 검출 대상이 되는 상기 ASIC의 입력단에 연결되고, 전송수단내의 이미 사용이 끝난 상태인 이용하지 않는 오버헤드 바이트(overhead byte)중에 특정 바이트를 사용하여, 상기 특정 바이트를 기점으로 소정 주기 동안의 BIP(Bit Interleaved Parity)를 계산하여 출력하는 제1 BIP 생성수단; 앞단의 상기 ASIC에서 생성되어 삽입된 오버헤드중 상기 특정 바이트와 동일한 바이트를 추출하기 위한 BIP 추출수단; 상기 제1 BIP 생성수단의 출력신호와 상기 BIP 추출수단의 출력신호를 비교하기 위한 BIP 비교수단; 상기 BIP 비교수단에 의해 비교된 결과들을 누적하기 위한 BIP 누적수단; 상기 BIP 누적수단에 의해 누적된 결과와 인터럽트(interrupt)의 발생 기준이 되는 임계치를 비교하고, 비교 결과를 외부로 출력하는 BIP 임계인터럽트 처리 수단; 장애 검출 대상이 되는 상기 ASIC의 출력단에 설치되고, 다음단의 상기 ASIC 과의 상기 전송수단의 신호를 검사하기 위해, 상기 특정 바이트를 기준으로하여 상기 전송수단내의 모든 바이트에 대한 BIP를 계산하여 출력하는 제2 BIP 생성수단; 및 상기 제2 BIP 생성수단의 출력신호를 상기 전송수단내의 소정의 위치에 삽입하기 위한 BIP 삽입수단을 포함하는 다수의 특정용도 집적회로를 구비한 시스템에서의 장애 위치 탐색 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 BIP 생성수단은, 상기 전송수단을 통해 연결된 상기 다수의 ASIC을 구비한 다단 광대역 동기 디지털 계층 교차스위치 시스템에서 장애 위치를 탐색하기 위해, 장애 검출 대상이 되는 상기 ASIC의 입력단에 설치되고, 상기 전송수단내의 이미 사용이 끝난 상태인 이용하지 않는 오버헤드 바이트중 특정 바이트를 사용하며, 상기 특정 바이트를 기준으로 소정 주기(8KHZ)동안에 상기 BIP를 계산하여 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다수의 특정용도 집적회로를 구비한 시스템에서의 장애 위치 탐색 장치.
