Abstract

본 고안은 차량에 설치된 번호판에 있어서, 특히 차량 후미에 설치된 번호판의 식별이 용이하도록 도광체를 번호판의 둘레에 설치하여서 된 번호판 조명장치에 관한 것으로, 차량의 후미에 설치된 번호판의 일측에서 번호판등으로 조명하도록 한 번호판 조명장치에 있어서, 상기 번호판(10)의 둘레에 상기 번호판등(20)에 의해 빛을 유도하는 도광체(11)를 설치하여서 된 구성으로서, 도광체(11)의 발광에 의해 번호판의 식별력이 향상된다.

본 고안은 설치된 번호판에 있어서, 특히 차량 후미에 설치된 번호판의 식별이 용이하도록 도광체를 번호판의 둘레에 설치하여서 된 번호판 조명장치에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 차량의 전, 후방에 설치되는 번호판은 등록번호, 차종, 용도, 등록관청을 나타내기 위한 표시수단이다.
여거시 차량의 후미에 설치되는 번호판에는 후방측 운전자나 그 밖의 외부 관찰자가 야간에 차량 번호판에 표시된 문자나 숫자를 관찰하기 용이하도록 번호판등이 부설되어 있다.
즉, 야간에 운전자는 미등스위치를 온시킴과 동시에 차량의 번호판에 설치된 번호판등이 점등되도록 되어 있다.
이와 같이 번호판에 설치된 번호판등은 번호판의 중앙 상, 하부 또는 측방에 설치되는데 이때, 번호판등은 외부에 노출된 상태에서 측면의 상하 방향 또는 측방이기 때문에 전등에서 나오는 불빛이 번호판에 전량을 비추는 것이 어렵다.
따라서 야간에 번호판에 표시된 번호를 인식하기가 상당히 어려워 유사시 특히 야간에는 상대방 도주 차량의 번호판을 알아보기가 어려운 경우가 있다.
본 고안은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로, 그 목적은 번호판의 식별력이 향상되도록 한 번호판 조명장치를 제공함에 있다.
상기의 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 고안의 구체적인 수단은, 차량의 후미에 설치된 번호판을 번호판등으로 조명하도록한 번호판 조명장치에 있어서 상기 번호판의 둘레에 상기 번호판등에 의해 빛을 유도하는 도광체를 형성하여서 된 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하, 본 고안의 바람직한 실시예를 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다.
도시한 바와 같이 차체(1)의 후미 중앙에 부착된 번호판(10)의 둘레에 도광체(11)가 형성되어 있다.
상기 도광체(11)의 절개된 대향단(11a)은 번호판등(20)에 접근되어 있고, 또 소정의 높이와 폭을 갖는 단면이 제3도에 도시한 바와 같이 사각 또는 직사각으로 형성될 수 있고, 그 둘레의 4개 모서리부에 각각의 반사면(12)을 형성하여 번호판등(20)에서 나온 빛을 입사함과 동시에 타측에 반사유도 하여 둘레로 빛을 발산 하도록 구성되어 있다.
이와 같이 구성된 번호판 조명장치는 야간에 번호판등(20)을 점등하게 되면 번호판등(20)에서 나온 빛은 이 번호판등(20)에 가장 근접한 도광체(11)의 대향단(11a)에 침투하여 화살표로 도시한 방향으로 각각의 반사면(12)을 통해 전둘레로 빛이 유도된다.
따라서 번호판(10)의 둘레는 빛을 발하게 됨으로써 하방에서 비추는 번호판등(10)과 함께 번호판(10)의 번호면을 조명하게 된다.
따라서 종래와 같이 번호판등(10)의 측방빛에 의존하던 조명방법을 번호판(10)의 전둘레로 확대함으로써 조명 효율이 향상된다.
이때, 상기 도광체(11)의 재질은 투명체의 합성수지(예로, 아크릴)로 구성될 수 있다.
그리고 상기 도광체(11)의 일측면인 부착면의 바깥측 모서리부에 소정의 기울기는 갖는 반사면을 함께 구성할 수도 있고, 더욱이 부착면에 반사효율을 좋게 하기 위해 백색의 도막층을 형성하여도 좋다.
상술한 바와 같이 버호판의 둘레에 번호판등에 의해 빛을 발하는 도광체를 형성함으로써 번호판의 식별력이 향상된다.

Claims (3)

  1. 차량의 후미에 설치된 번호판을 번호판등으로 조명하도록한 번호판 조명장치에 있어서, 상기 번호판(10)의 둘레에 상기 번호판등(20)에 의해 빛을 유도하는 도광체(11)를 형성하여서 된 것을 특징으로 하는 번호판 조명장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 도광체(11)의 모서리부에 반사면(12)을 형성하여서 된 것을 특징으로 하는 번호판 조명장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 도광체(11)의 부착면에 백색의 도막층을 형성하여서 된 것을 특징으로 하는 번호판 조명장치.
