This is to prevent the generated coarse dust from coming out.

The communication port 35 is formed in a longitudinal shape along the coarse dust air passage 31.

On the other hand, the fine dust air passage 32 communicates with the downstream side of the auxiliary opening 18 of the separation portion 16, and is elongated in the vertical direction in parallel with the coarse dust air passage 31 below the separation portion main body 17. Is formed. The fine dust air passage 32 has air that does not pass through the coarse dust air passage 31, which is the remaining portion of the air sucked from the intake port 14, together with fine dust that has passed through the mesh filter 18 a of the auxiliary opening 18. The filter body 36 which collects this fine dust is accommodated by the air path which passes. Further, an exhaust communication port 37 communicating with the exhaust port 15 is formed at the rear side of the lower portion of the fine dust air passage 32.

The filter body 36 includes a pleated filter 38 as a second filter, and a frame 39 that holds the periphery of the pleated filter 38 and is detachable from the fine dust air passage 32.

The pleated filter 38 is formed in a wave shape in the front-rear direction, and a fold is formed in the up-down direction, which is the direction along the fine dust air passage 32. The pleat filter 38 is disposed at a position corresponding to the lower mesh filter 34 of the communication port 35 at the rear side, that is, downstream side of the lower mesh filter 34 so as to be orthogonal to the air flow from the coarse dust air passage 31. Opposed to each other. Further, the pleated filter 38 is formed larger than the lower mesh filter 34 in a front view and has a size facing the entire communication port 35.

The frame body 39 is formed in a rectangular frame shape, and is attached in the fine dust air passage 32 so that the upper side of the pleated filter 38 is inclined more forward than the lower side. Further, the frame 39 is provided with an inclined plate portion 41 that is inclined downward from the rear side to the front side below the pleat filter 38. The inclined plate portion 41 has a front end portion, which is a tip portion, located at the lower portion of the fine dust air passage 32 and is continuous with a fine dust accommodating portion 42 provided on the opening / closing lid portion 27. The fine dust accommodating portion 42 is a portion where fine dust collected by the pleated filter 38 falls and accommodates along the inclined plate portion 41, and is opened and closed by opening and closing the opening / closing lid portion 27.

A dust drop means 43 is provided at the rear of the filter body 36 to remove fine dust collected by the pleat filter 38 from the pleat filter 38, that is, to remove dust. The dust dropping means 43 is driven to rotate by, for example, a motor (not shown) to vibrate the pleated filter 38, thereby dropping fine dust collected by the pleated filter 38 and dropping it into the fine dust containing portion 42. It is.

Further, the exhaust communication port 37 faces the exhaust port 15 and communicates with these exhaust ports 15. The exhaust communication port 37 exhausts the suction air from the rear portion of the fine dust air passage 32 to the exhaust port 15. For this reason, the filter body 36 communicates with the suction side of the electric blower 3 through the exhaust communication port 37 and the exhaust port 15. Further, a lower filter (not shown) is attached to the exhaust communication port 37 so as to cover the entire exhaust communication port 37.

Further, the partition wall 26 is located between the coarse dust air passage 31 and the fine dust air passage 32, has a surface direction along the left-right direction intersecting the front-rear direction of the vacuum cleaner 1, and extends in the up-down direction. It is formed in a longitudinal shape and is continuous from the upper end in the housing main body 25 to the opening / closing lid 27. Further, the communication port 35 provided in the partition wall 26 is spaced below the ventilation port 33 and has a longitudinal shape extending from a position above the center region in the vertical direction of the partition wall 26 to the vicinity of the lower end portion of the partition wall 26. Is open. The lower mesh filter 34 provided at the communication port 35 is disposed in a lattice shape over the entire communication port 35.

The opening / closing lid 27 is provided at the rear part of the lower end of the housing body 25 so as to be rotatable in the vertical direction. Further, the opening / closing lid 27 is opened / closed with respect to the housing body 25 by operating a lid clamp (not shown).

As shown in FIG. 3, the hose body 5 is provided in the shape of a long and narrow bellows with a flexible synthetic resin or the like, and is provided so as to be expandable and contractable in the axial direction.

The connecting pipe portion 6 is formed in a cylindrical shape with a synthetic resin harder than the hose body 5, is provided coaxially with the hose body 5, and communicates with the distal end portion of the hose body 5. Further, the connecting pipe portion 6 is detachably connected to a proximal end portion on the exhaust side of the grip pipe portion 7.

The grip tube portion 7 includes a substantially cylindrical main body portion 46 that communicates with a distal end portion that is the suction side of the connection tube portion 6 and a proximal end portion that is the exhaust side of the extension tube 8, and a radial direction from the main body portion 46. And a protruding gripping portion 47. The grip 47 protrudes from the outer surface on the distal end side of the main body 46 and is bent toward the proximal end of the main body 46. In addition, the grip portion 47 is provided with a plurality of setting buttons (not shown) for driving the electric blower 3 in a predetermined drive mode.

The extension pipe 8 serves as an arm when the operator operates the vacuum cleaner 1 and is formed in an elongated cylindrical shape, that is, a longitudinal shape with a metal such as aluminum, for example. The extension pipe 8 communicates with the suction side of the electric blower 3 through the grip pipe part 7, the connection pipe part 6, the hose body 5 and the dust collecting part 4.

And the packing 79 is attached to the attaching part 9, and the communication pipe 82 which is the front-end | tip part of the extension pipe 8 and the base end part of the floor brush 11 is detachably inserted from the upper and lower sides, respectively, and is connected airtightly.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the floor brush 11 is installed on the floor surface as a surface to be cleaned and supports the vacuum cleaner 1, and the extension pipe 8 is inserted into the upper end portion of the attachment portion 9. Thus, it communicates with the distal end portion on the suction side of the extension pipe 8 through the attachment portion 9.

Further, the floor brush 11 includes a hollow horizontally long case body 81 in which a suction port 81a is formed in the lower portion facing the floor surface. A cylindrical communication pipe 82 communicating with the suction port 81a is rotatably provided at the rear portion of the case body 81, and the communication pipe 82 is inserted into the lower end portion of the attachment portion 9 and is airtightly connected. .

Here, the communication pipe 82 is detachable from the attachment portion 9 by a brush clamp 83 provided at the rear portion of the attachment portion 9. The communication pipe 82 is in airtight contact with the packing 79.

Further, brush driven wheels 84 are rotatably provided on both sides of the communication pipe 82 of the floor brush 11. These brush driven wheels 84 allow the vacuum cleaner 1 to travel back and forth on the floor surface.

Next, the cleaning operation according to the above embodiment will be described.

During normal cleaning, with the extension tube 8 attached to the cleaner body 2, connect the power cord to an outlet (not shown), hold the grip portion 47 of the grip tube portion 7, and operate a predetermined setting button. Then, the electric blower 3 is driven.

Then, the operator grips the grip portion 47 and runs the electric vacuum cleaner 1 back and forth, and sucks and cleans floor dust from the suction port 81a of the floor brush 11.

For example, when cleaning a narrow place where the width of the floor brush 11 does not enter, such as a door rail, the extension pipe 8 is removed from the cleaner body 2 and dust is sucked from the tip of the extension pipe 8.

Furthermore, when cleaning the desk top etc., the connection pipe part 6 is removed from the grip pipe part 7, and dust is sucked in from the front-end | tip part of this connection pipe part 6. FIG.

The air sucked together with the dust becomes a suction wind, and this suction wind passes through the air inlet 14 and the air vent 33 via the hose body 5 and then flows into the separation portion 16.

The suction air is narrowed down by the separation main body portion 17 to increase the flow velocity. Among the dust contained in this suction air, coarse dust having a relatively large specific gravity or relatively large size makes the separation main body portion 17 linear along with the suction air W1. The fine dust having a relatively small specific gravity or a small size is separated in the circumferential direction of the separation main body portion 17 and flows into the auxiliary opening 18. Part is collected by the mesh filter 18a, and fine dust that has passed through the mesh filter 18a flows into the fine dust air passage 32 together with the suction air W2.

The coarse dust that has flowed into the coarse dust air passage 31 is collected when the suction air W <b> 1 that has flowed into the coarse dust air passage 31 passes through the lower mesh filter 34, and is stored in the coarse dust air passage 31. . Then, the suction air W <b> 1 in which the coarse dust is collected passes through the pleated filter 38, and then flows into the communication air passage 19 from the exhaust port 15 through the exhaust communication port 37, to the suction side of the electric blower 3. And flow.

On the other hand, the fine dust flowing into the fine dust air passage 32 is collected by the pleated filter 38 when the suction air W2 flows through the pleated filter 38 along the vertical direction. Then, the suction air W <b> 2 in which the fine dust is collected flows from the exhaust port 15 to the communication air passage 19 through the exhaust communication port 37 and flows to the suction side of the electric blower 3.

The suction air that has flowed into the electric blower 3 passes through the electric blower 3 to become exhaust air, and is exhausted from the exhaust hole to the outside of the cleaner body 2.

Further, after the cleaning is finished, the dust removing means 43 is driven by a motor (not shown), and the fine dust collected by the pleated filter 38 is removed from the pleated filter 38 and is passed through the inclined plate portion 41. It is accommodated in the accommodating part 42.

Further, the dust stored in each of the coarse dust channel 31 and the fine dust container 42 is removed from the cleaner body 2 with the electric blower 3 stopped, and the lid clamp is operated. By opening the open / close lid 27, the waste is disposed in a trash box (not shown) outside the dust collector 4.

Thereafter, the dust collecting unit 4 is attached to the cleaner body 2 again for use.

As described above, in the above-described embodiment, the coarse dust separated by the separating unit 16 passes along with the suction air W1 and the fine dust separated by the separating unit 16 and the remaining dust. In the partition wall 26 positioned between the fine dust air passage 32 through which the suction air W2 passes, a communication port 35 for extracting the suction air W1 flowing into the coarse dust air passage 31 from the coarse dust air passage 31 is roughly provided. A configuration is provided in which an opening is formed along the dust air passage 31, and a lower mesh filter 34 that prevents dust collected in the coarse dust air passage 31 from exiting the coarse dust air passage 31 is provided in the communication port 35. It was.

As a result, for example, compared with the case where the lower mesh filter is formed along the direction intersecting the coarse dust air passage 31, the cross-sectional area of the coarse dust air passage 31 or the size of the cleaner body 2 is larger. The area of the lower mesh filter 34 can be easily secured while saving space without increasing the size.

In particular, in the above-described embodiment, the separation part 16 includes the separation body part 17 having a substantially linear cylindrical shape and the auxiliary opening 18 formed around the separation body part 17, and dust contained in the suction air is removed. By separating straightly, for example, the separation unit 16 and the vacuum cleaner 1 can be further reduced in size as compared with the case of using a cyclone separation unit that rotates the suction air to centrifuge the dust.

In addition, since the coarse dust air passage 31 has a dust collecting function for accommodating the passing dust, the cleaner main body 2 can be made smaller than when the dust collecting portion is provided separately from the coarse dust air passage 31.

Further, the air passages 31 and 32 are arranged in parallel along the vertical direction, and the dust dust passage 31 has a dust collecting function at the lower portion, so that dust flowing into the air passages 31 and 32 falls by its own weight. It easily collects in the lower part of the housing main body 25, and the suction air and dust can be easily separated.

Further, by providing the pleated filter 38 along the fine dust air passage 32 at a position corresponding to the lower mesh filter 34, the air passage resistance is increased by these filters 34 and 38, and the dust collecting performance can be improved. These filters 34 and 38 can be hardly clogged.

Further, by forming the pleated filter 38 in a pleated shape formed with a fold along the fine dust air passage 32, the surface area of the pleated filter 38 through which the suction air W2 passes can be secured, and the dust collection efficiency can be improved.

Furthermore, the seal packing when the dust collector 4 is attached to the cleaner body 2 by positioning the intake port 14 and the exhaust port 15 facing the rear portion of the dust collector 4 on the same side as the housing body 25. And the like only have to be provided at the rear part of the dust collection part 4, for example, the sealing performance can be improved as compared with the case where seal packing or the like is provided at both the front part and the rear part of the dust collection part 4.

Then, the pleat filter 38 is inclined downward toward the front side, and an inclined plate portion 41 is provided below the pleat filter 38 so as to be continuous with the upper portion of the fine dust accommodating portion 42, thereby driving the dust dropping means 43. In this case, the fine dust removed from the pleated filter 38 can be reliably accommodated in the fine dust accommodating portion 42.

In addition, by applying the dust collecting unit 4 to the upright type vacuum cleaner, the shape of the vacuum cleaner body 1 that is long in the vertical direction can be effectively used to prevent the vacuum cleaner body 1 from being enlarged. .

In the above embodiment, the separation unit 16 is not limited to the above configuration as long as dust can be separated according to specific gravity or size.

Similarly, the details of the vacuum cleaner 1 are not limited to the above configuration.

The vacuum cleaner 1 can be used not only for a stick type but also for a so-called canister type.

The present invention is suitably used for an upright type vacuum cleaner, for example.
