Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it easy to move a cursor from fine movement to large movement by providing a means which specifies a cursor position and a means which controls the movement quantity of the cursor according to its moving speed. CONSTITUTION: The cursor on a screen moves corresponding to the cursor movement quantity Y supplied from a CPU 12 to a display control part 25 through a system bus 11. The movement quantity Y becomes minimum when the moving speed of a mouse 14 is slow and maximum when fast, and the movement quantity Y is proportional to X<2> /2 of the mouse movement quantity within the range between the maximum and minimum values. The cursor is moved large when the moving speed is fast and small when slow. Therefore, even when the movement quantity is unchanged, the cursor can be moved large and finely according to the moving speed of the mouse.
