Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive title compsn. capable of giving a coating film having an excellent weather resistance, by combining a specific fluorocopolymer with an acrylic copolymer compatible therewith and a curing agent. CONSTITUTION:10-95wt.% fluorocopolymer (A) being preferably soluble in solvents and having OH and COOH groups in the molecule, an F content (attributed to fluoro-olefin units) of at least 10wt.% and a no.-average MW of 2,000-15,000 (e.g., a copolymer of a fluoro-olefin with a vinyl ether) is blended with 90-5wt.% acrylic copolymer (B) compatible with the component A and a curing agent (C) being a polyfunctional compd. capable of reacting with OH groups in the component A and/or B to form a crosslinked structure, such as an aminoplast compd. or a polyvalent isocyanate compd. at a ratio of the no. of functional groups in the component C to the no. of OH groups in the components A and B of 0.5-1.5.
