Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a structure capable of reliably opening by stiffening part of the inside surface of a spout panel with a fillet comprising a layer of adhesive and a strip resistant to the applied temperature and pressure in sealing process. CONSTITUTION: Each fillet 56 consists of a strip 66 and an adhesive layer 72, which is bonded to the flat surface 67 of the strip 66, two gabled rib panels 50, 52, two ridge rib panels 48, 54, and thermoplastic inside surface 62 to secure strip 66 to at least one thermoplastic inside surfaces. The strip is low in resistance to any adverse effect of container-sealing process and has rigidity together with the adhesive layer 72. Typical materials for the strip are metal, polyester or polycarbonate films.
